What would you guys think about this?

Due to turbo'n my b18c my gearbox being a non-lsd.. im thinking of upgrading and i was thinking of putting in a 1st gen b16a lsd gearbox for the close ratio but strengthing it of coarse

is your current box hydrolic, cause gen1 b16a's boxs are cable, but im pretty sure u can swap the internals. I am under the impression the first gen boxs are pretty weak even the lsd ones

1st gen box wont work because it is cable not hydro. Plus they're the small box with the small bearing etc so are weaker to begin with.

Why not just give your current box a new diff? Way cheaper. Dont worry about close gear ratios when you've got a more torquey turbo anyway.

How were you planning on strengthening this box? Because if your idea was dog teeth then you're already replacing the diff so it may as well be an LSD and you should go with a custom set of ratios. But i dont think you're going that far .
