Medical grade might not be the one for your car,but if you're buying it to inhale you deserve automotive grade

So BOC gasses will sell me a 47 kg bottle for 1411.61, to do this I need a letter from a car club to say I am only using it for automotive purposes, and I am fit to decant it myself.

The cost would be about 141 bucks per fill, I have two 10lb bottles and to make it cost effective the bottle would need to be back in a month (bottle on monthly hireage).

Would work OK with a group of people.

The DIY Nitrous site has all the instructions for decanting...

If you prefer to inhale it, there is 18.14 m3 of gas in there, Im only interested in the liquid...

how on earth can you compare breathing food/medical grade nos to gas/glue or some other highly dodgy substance way to jump on the ignorance bandwagon

meanwhile slightly ontopic, damn i didnt realise nos refills were quite so expensive 8O

Fortunately I got a deal on the kit from a friend in the US, but when you weigh up the ongoing costs versus a turbo set up, its marginal. I think they pay about 4 bucks a lb in the US (10lb bottle = $60 NZ). If I run a 50 shot, itll use about .6 lb per run down the 1/4 --- 13 bucks !!

In case you missed it, I intend to inject N2O (or Naws for you f and f fans) and fuel into my engine to substantially increase the HP potential and potentially break my gearbox, axles, cvs or some other part of my driveline or engine.

Yeah ok, Im sad, but is laughing gas really the answer ?? Dr Phill ??

off topic: its just like sniffing gas and to assume otherwise is ignorance.
try both, same buzz....they both cut off the oxygen to ya brain.
the difference is that fuel has some extra nastys that nos dosnt......still fucks you up via frequent use.

on topic: cool that you are using it for the right reason dude cant wait to see the goo tube in car camera video

Basic basic chemistry owns you huh...

Nitrous oxides effect on the body/brain is not comparable in any way to sniffing solvents.

The buzz is coming from the chemical itself, not starving your brain of oxygen. That's a very nasty side effect that retards get when they don't know how to use it safely...

If you don't believe that, then how about using common sense?
Why do doctors and dentists administer a nitrous oxide/oxygen mixture to PREGNANT WOMAN and to just about anyone getting a dental procedure? The oxygen is mixed with it for the very reason that oxygen deprivation is not what you want, it's not where the buzz comes from, and it's downright dangerous. Besides, I'm pretty sure they're not going to say "oh we blew out the budget this month, here's a bottle of petrol, sniff that".

^^ what he said.

Or just apply common sense.
Say you rock up to a dentist, and you need some surgery.

Dentist: Here's the No2

You: nah stuff that it just cuts of my oxygen, I'll just hold my breath, it does the same thing.

Aye.

yea correct.......if used for its purpose its relitivly safe....but......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olney%27s_Lesions

it's use is linked to brain damage however conclusive proof either way is not totaly proven..........

wasnt really trying to have a big discussion about it but i will say this.
having tried petrol, flyspray, lpg when i was a young buck freshly dropped out of school....and also having nos in an ambulance and for *cough* "recreational use" they all share the same buzz......a short euphoric high that makes you feel like a cabbage afterwards......

conclusion...great to relive pain when required or to add oxygen to your fuel mix....pooz to use to get high.

nuff said

*edit* oh and yea "robf" your right you can acheive the same result from holding your breath or taking ten deep ones and receiving a bear hug....

I could only find N2O at C&M performance - good guys there, but year, $185 per bottle ain't cheap.

Also, DON'T PUT NOS IN YOUR CAR!!!! Screw's up the re-sale something fearful

(bloody narrow minded so and sos... don't know a great deal when they see it... dismissive mumble mumble grumble...)
