New track is good, but still miss the chicanes The old hairpin is still there Wazza, and I believe NZH are able to use whatever part of the track they see fit, but I think everyone will be happy doing some nice speeds coming up to the old sweeper

Looking forward to more than 5 laps this time, cant wait! 8)

I'm indeed looking forward to it too, second track day ever, and my car is no speed demon, however can't wait to get out there as the more track time the better.

I'll be waving politely as the Hybrid, lighter, repowered.......................every car passes me

Have fun everyone, Wish I could be there. I'll be sitting in a stats exam wishing I was hooning around the track.

Can't wait, clutch shat itself this morning on my way back from Taupo. I'm home for Tuesday/Wednesday day so that's pretty high up on the list of things to do.

I feel like a real racer... Packing everything into the last 5 minutes

I'm only up to about $2000 (thanks to new rear tyres and alignment today) from what was originally just pads and fluid ops:

And people say im rough.. how long you had that now? haha.

OEM replacement for you?

A bit gutted i cant come this year. Was looking foward to a good rap round the new track. Finances couldnt stretch this time. Not gonna bother tracking untill i have a full set of semi's now. The road tyres probly wouldnt have lasted another trackday let alone that and the trip up and back

I would expect it to be the original clutch from new - 90000kms isn't a bad effort. I'm not rough by any means but it has been driven spiritidly.

Yes OEM clutch, it's nice and user friendly. My car is a street car so didn't want a heavy duty piece of kit.

I hear you - still gotta get an oil change and the NoS bottle re-filled, and I'm stuck in windy, wet Wellington until Thursday night!

Still, really looking forward to the track day. I've been to Puke quite a few times, but never Taupo. Also really looking forward to comparing the performance of various Hondas

Light weight vs more power - let the challenge begin!

You only went to meremere once Ryan? I'd imagine the launches would've damn near killed the 90k clutch ops:
Dyno tune and discs/pads/fluid tomorrow, will try not to kill it this time

I here ya there. I have been building my car 6 months for this. I just got a new set of semi slicks too. Took it for a drive up the road and warmed it up for the first time in months. Found the radiator fan wasnt working causing it to get excessively hot. Fixed that race car styles by wiring it to a switch hehe.

Last minute things are all done semi slicks are on, alignment is done. Just got to pick up trailer and away we go.
