New 350Z, big or small capacity engine?

Ok, was talking in #nzhondas about the New Nissan 350Z.. and someone said that 3.5litre was a small capacity engine.. Do you think this is correct or not?

I say large capacity, cos I'm sure that more than 50% of the world's car engines would be less than 3.5 liters.

yeh large..cos i mean the H22A was considered honda's big-block engine, and thats only 2.2L.. so 3.5 is prety big, at least in honda terms

I see large capacity as being over 3l. Seeing as thats only just over 1/2 of the size of a GenIII motor, which I consider large capacity - and the 8l Viper motor huge, and as for the new Caddy motors etc 8O

The H22A is healthy sized, but not large IMHO.

yeah i see that as a large capacity engine...

anything up to 2.0 litres is small capacity, 2-3 is a medium capacity and 3l+ large

and the 8.2L viper engine is just massive

In NZ 3.5 is definately large. Only in countries where V8s are the norm would it be considered small.

ie America where they have the small block Chev which is only 350ci or 5.7 Litres :O

BTW: Love the 350Z what ive seen of it so far

3.5 is definatley large capacity in New Zealand and Japan. Even the larger Japanese performance cars have engines smaller than that (GTR - 2.6l, GTO 3.0l, Supra 3.0l, NSX 3.2l)

Btw, there's a black or very dark blue one doing the rounds out Jville way - and I think it's owned by someone at the Malvina Major Retirement Village! Good to see some old bugger's still got the itch... 8)
