| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | I think it was the 23rd of October.. And it was actually project Beta not project Delta.. So it was actually there 1996 Acura Integra powered with a close to 400whp K24-20 hybrid.. It ran a 9.63 @ 141mph. 1st pass was under weight the 2nd time it ran the 9.63 it was on the weight limit. The 2003 RSX Skunk 2 have which is project Delta has a P.B. of 9.86 @ 141mph. Dr. Charles there cheif mechanic beleives the Integra will go faster than the RSX...

Does anyone remember when Project Beta first appeared and was a silver road-racer with a 260hp B16A in it? It used to run low 12s @ circa 110mph and would often battle against Jeremy Lookofsky's H22-powered EF CRX for the world's NA Honda title. My, how things have progressed in the last 6 years...

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | Suprisily enought they have one of the motors for sale for about $12k US I think with no manifolds.. but to build one here is a simple costing.. this is retail... ERL sleeved Brand New K24 CRV block. $2500 US CP pistons 15.7:1 $1000 US Titanium Pauter rods or something simliar, custom length, custom bearing and piston pin sizes $1000 US each.. Custom oil squirters, custom oil pump $xxx Custom stroked K24 crank, oversized bearing journals etc $2500US Custom CNC machined & ported K20A head $1500US suppling a head Skunk 2 Pro spec cams $ not publicly avaiable Skunk 2 cam gears $ plus all the extra little bit to hold it together... To build a motor that will make 300-350whp you can spend about $15,000nz to do it, IF you know the right people... Since you can buy a half built motor direct from ERL that comes with everything except the head, but it only has factory crank and bearing sizes..they retail for around $10,000nz landed. Then there is all the extra head work involved in making it all work.. But then for a team like Skunk 2 you also have a $15,000 US 6spd squential gbox behind the motor, 10yrs of chassis development, a huge backing, 2 cars running the same spec motor, a spare 10 motors per event..

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | 15.7:1 can be run on anything higher than C12 really. can be lower but not really recommended.. Persoanally I feel for the starter motor.... thats alot of compression to turn over... K-series you can buy these pistons off the shelf at the moment.. 9.5:1, 10:1, 10.5:1 11:1, 11.5:1, 12.5:1, 13.5:1, 15.7:1 but you can get others made in between if you feel like it.. The skunk 2 cars are rumoured to have dyno'd at 398whp, running 54mm TWM ITB's

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | They have run an event where one of the cars used a new motor every run.. 8O so 2-3 qualifiers then 1-4 elimantion runs... They dont destroy them they just check everything out.. the motors rev to around 11,000 which is pretty insane by any imagination.. The top import teams are on the same level of racing as the top V8 teams, rebuilding engines between runs etc..

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | personally I think 8's will be next season or the one following for the top teams. The turbo guys are set to run 6's next season and they really need to given the FWD and RWD top class's are being combined in 2007 I think.. GM ran a 7.12 @ 187mph backing off due to the guy in the other lane loosing it.. they have run over 202mph in there FWD.. so given the new set-up I think we might see a mid-high 6 FWD next season..

![]() I remember calling and speaking to Dr Charles on the phone waaaaay back when I was planning the H22 swap into the EK. Back then he was the only person in SoCal to have attempted the swap, I thiiink it was in an EG. He was nuts. And for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of seeing this mad Honda fanatic: ![]()

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | My car gets rev'd to 9000rpm. I have run to 10,000 on the dyno before but not on the current motor.. With the cam profiles i run i was still making power past 10k on the old motor as it had higher compression. where as with the current motor I'm making 180wkw at 7300 and 185wkw at 9000. My next motor I will possibly rev to 9500 depending on the opinion of my engine builder
