Off-Roading

I went for a bit of a 'country drive' on some gravel roads, and decided to get my car as dirty as possible, so i went through every other puddle on the side of the gravel roads (muddy puddles) when i got home i was quite proud of my 'rally marks' and when i went to set my alarm it sounded weird. No problem i thought, prob just got some water in it. So i popped my bonnet and shit.......my whole engine bay, my pride and joy, was completely brown and grey with mud. It took me three hours to do the top, and there is still mud all underneath

ADVICE: Don't drive thru puddles

Anyone else had similar experiences?

oops 8O still, it is so worth the rally mud on the sides!

Have had mud up front guards before from spinning on wet grass, up to mirrors - looked neat! Reckon there was 10kg of mud stuck in the inside of the mudflaps though ops:

Good luck cleaning engine bay!

so, another mud track racer!!

grass/autocross is well wicked! well worth the effort with the toothbrush afterwards, better having to clean it than having to fix things from the extra stress on tarseal.

I think you're supposed to use acutal offroad cars, rather big coil springs in them...hehe
I used to drive a challanger series offroader with ORNZ and ABC, till I flipped it on its lid. Didn't own it, just drove it.
All fun and games with your on-road car too I guess, but I know it was a bitch cleaning a rear mounted VW motor - with as little electrics as poss, it'd be a hellova job cleaning todays motors.
