Dyno Results

I didn't know where to post this so I'm gonna post it here

At tech the other day we dyno'd a couple of cars with results I found quite interesting:

Manual DOHC 1600 turbo Mirage - 89 Front wheel KW. (7psi boost)
Manual DOHC 1800 NA Galant - 84 Front wheel KW.
Auto SOHC Vtec 1600 NA Civic - 78 Front wheel KW.

All cars were stock.

I was most suprised by the aparent lack of drive train loss in my auto, being only 5ish kw behind a manual 1800 DOHC mitsi...

Was this on the Hamilton polytech dyno? The primera club had a little dyno day using the dyna pack dyno. I got 155kw on 7psi. I'll find some more results to compare with your results

Well, the Mirage you are talking about is the OLD school 80s version.

Small turbo. Not too bad a figure considering it's an old car.
Was it the FWD version or 4WD?

As some sort of comparison, my stock manual 1993 1.6L MIVEC Mirage dynoed with 108KW at the wheels at Turbo Vehicles. (4th gear - 160km/hr)

Dude, that would be damn cool.... I'm not sure on the rules and regulations, but if you went down to the tech and asked around... Also I'll ask the tutor on monday, try and get you a number to contact them on... You're talking about the K20 EG right?

I ran 148wkw on the dyno at Tuning and performance a Stock DC5R JDM spec ran 130wkw before me.. It was rretuned with a K-Pro Hondata computer and ran 145wkw...
So this time around at the wallytech dyno I might hit 200wkw..
