Hey welcome Civic Jim fella,

Actually, Our JDM EF9 SiRs are still top of the line, the UK spec VT only produces 150hp from its b16a1 DOHC VTEC. I find it funny and wierd too but its true. Theres so many differences in comparison! I think no knock sensor for yours? detuned because of octance ratings? and I think I read up ages ago that your ignition system and timings were slighty changed? THEORY? maybe but still thats amazing shit. oh what about your gear ratios? I heard they are slighty different too.

correct me if im wrong but your speedo has an excessive 240+ km/h reading right? 8O also you have no speed cut limiter? So you can run your nuts off the clock with your even stock VT civic? PHAT!!!
Also Ive seen pics of the guage cluster and they way different looking compared to the JDM spec ehs? from what I know the EDM VT has its rpm and km/h readings on the sides and your check lights/engine temp/fuel readings all crammed in the middle? awesome

Man post some pics of your VT civic EE9 bro! good to see other domesticated cars with the same values as ours really!

Love the wheels, not too keen on the tezzas, and that HUGE YELLOW plate has got to go! Dont you guys get to choose if you get a white or yellow plate?

yeah, i dont think EF's (or EE's in the EDM) suit altezzas, though you should get some clear side indicators just to clean up the front. nice car

I agree about the Altezzas, but overall thats a very clean looking Civic - doubly so because it's in the UK where it's be a rare car

I think the deal with plates is that there is a white one at the front, and a yellow one at the back - I've seen a few car here with their old UK plates still viisble sticking out from behind the smaller NZ ones.

Looking very nice, yeah i've read somewhere on the net, they have taller ratios, and i've seen the gauge clusters, they're wayy different.

I think the bumpers have different style fog lights or something, there was a clip of one racing on the Autobahn 8O

ok let me clear a few things up , heres a pic of my cluster.........

the reason they are different is because the SiR is VSS driven and mine is cable, also my speedo goes up to 150 mph and this does NOT have a speed limiter, the rev limit is 8250 if i recall

the elxus lights have no got the centre panel coloured as well so it looks loads better

its not a lightweight model its just the VT's very rarely came with ABS or PAS.

also in the UK it is COMPULSORY that you have a white plate at the front and yellow at the back, no choice!

also the SIR has a "door open" warnig diagram on the cluster the VT doesnt, i looked into changing them but its too much work for the gain

Just like a DA - the cables are a real pain in the arse when they get up in mileage - damn bouncing speedos.

Nice one Jim, though i would have to agree with some of the others in that i am not a fan of the tailights on the EF/EE. Mint engine bay though, and i really like the EF/EE in white for some reason, i have seen a few driving round town lowered with tints and think they look sex.

Hey side note but where you from? No from somewhere way up north by chance?

(EDM = Electrical Discharge Machine to engineers . . . nice one sparky . . . oh never mind its too late and i can't sleep )
