Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

I can post threads/replies etc but can't use any of the icons above the text reply window i.e. bold, italics. Smilies (i see youve confirmed a prob with these)

I have a error on my page as well, just want to make sure its not something to do with website? could it be my java?

error = 'vbulletin is null or no object'

On another note, forums are awesome, nicely set out. Congrats to everyone involved and im sure we all appreciate the hardwork you guys have put in

Cheers.

The problem I was referring too was that some of the Emoticon images don't match up with the action, ie, isn't a happy face, not to do with out they work. They all appear to be working fine in terms of clicking on them, and the same goes for the bold/underline etc.

All of that is handled with javascript. What browser/version of browser are you using?

I just haven't added everyone to the proper usergroup yet, as I have to do it manually, and there's 500+ people

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

Is it possible to change the new post icon to something more visible? as it is quite hard to tell the difference between the new and old icons.
new =
old =

Cheers

Javascript and Java are two different things, if you're using at least Firefox 1.00 or IE6, they should work, unless you have Javascript turned off...

They don't 'pop up' - They're just off to the side, like the last forums.

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

When people are adding posts to an old thread, they are not moving to the top of the forum, as unread...
they are showing up as unread, just not at the top...so you have to go and find them

otherwise all good

I'll see what I can find out for you. You're not running any obscure antivirus etc? Behind a firewall/cache? You don't have that stuff disabled? (I doubt that because of the help you've been offering, but have to ask!) Is it a major to get you to install Firefox and see if it works with that?

Do what DURTYEF3 suggested. I thought I had that sorted but unfortunately not. In your user profile you can change how you want your threads displayed, and to put it bluntly, the way the importer software imported everyones profiles was stupid, heh.

All you have to do is change the settings in your user profile.

Cheers mate, i've installed Firefox and it works fine now. Seem to be a problem with IE itself. I guess a good thing to know now if anyone else has similar problems.

I've just tested it in several forums and the post jumps straight to the top. What forums are you seeing it in?

Weird. It should work perfectly ok in IE6 eh.. Hopefully not to many other people are having those problems, I think something like 30% of our visitors still use IE6
