is it possible for the pm notification email to have the body of the message forwarded too?

If i get a notification while at work or busy i want to see what the message is, but if i log in just to check it then my 'posts since last visit' is messed up.

Also rss feeds on forum/category/thread possible??

if i could have threads that i am watching fed through to igoogle yahooxtra bubble or w/e then i could follow shit at work without being seen on the site

Also can we have lower/upper hutt added to the location list?

one thing i dont like about the current style is that you cant chose a page to go to, sometimes for example there's 50 pages and you want to view the 25th one you have to keep flicking through pages until you get up to 3 near the page you want to view, there should be like a box and you enter what page you want to go to and press Go

i normally give up, especially on threads that have pics on them, you can never get your cursor on the next page number until it loads up all the photos as the page keeps on moving down, unless your really fast

Yes, it is possible. Thread prefixes have also been split up from the forum title, so you can search by those as well.

IE, you want to search for your FS: threads, you can search in the parts exchange forum, for threads that you have started, with the prefix FS:

This is the same for the meets forum, we've got rid of the Past Meets and just put in thread prefixes.

This is something that I'm looking into for the future, at the moment there isn't a complete modification that works 100%, but eventually I want to do this.

I'd suggest for people to just hold up and wait till we roll the new ones out, most of the ideas that you're coming up with you're coming up with because (I'm assuming here obviously...) other forums that you may be members on have got these options. phpBB2, what we're running now, is old school, we're going to something brand new, so you'll find that most of the options you're asking for are actually already available!

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

^^^ agreed......also I notice when you get to the bottom of a page there is only the drop down box to "forum jump" but there is no direct hyperlink to the main page and or sub forum you are in. meaning to get back to somewhere you have to scroll back up unless you know where you are going. I often dont :p

*edit* scrap that there is at the very bottom on the right...

as you were.....bring on the themes

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

Where threads go over more than 3 pages, you can only select the first three pages, or the last. could you change it so that you can select the last 2 or 3 pages instead? so if you're trying to catch up with a thread you don't have to start at the end and work backwards

also, why do you have to activate quick reply instead of it just being there?

and finally, any chance of having the forum banner (where it says "NZHondas.com > NZH - General > Forum Help/Feedback" at the bottom of the page as well as the top? just cos i'm lazy... ops:

rest of the changes are great though top effort

You can do that with an advanced search, I will make a direct link for it however next to the 'New Posts' link at the top.

Unlike the last forum, this one uses database checking to remember where you last read up to on a thread, you'll see a button like this at the start of every thread title. Hit that, and you'll go straight to the post after the one you just read.

So the forum knows which thread you're replying too. You can view this forum in threaded view, and it requires you click or that won't work.

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

James Ian and b_series_power build threads seem to have landed in the "new users introductions" forum, see:/forum/new-user-introductions/

Re: New Forum Forums Feedback

If you do not want to receive visitor messages, you may disable the visitor messaging system.
Enable Visitor Messaging [ ]

does this mean i cant recieve pm's or is the "enable" suposed to be "disable"

That's a tricky one! Hah. Is it ticked or not?

There are two types of messages, Private Messages (Same as the old PM system) and Visitor Messages. Visitor Messages are what people leave on your profile.

If you have selected it, then yes, it should be disable, because I can't leave one on your profile... Let me know.
