Location: Christchurch | Server has changed, and the new server has had hardware upgrades and the site and associated databases re-loaded several times. There are just a few teething issues... Also, you cannot load images from online places for your avatar now afaik, unless they were already there before the server change. The same more than likely applies to profiles too. So, ensure you are uploading from your harddrive and the image is within the specified parameters - size and height/width.

Location: Westport | Nothing to do with the database (which is on a different server anyhow), we were just drunk when we moved the shit over and forgot what directories we had to make writable again.. My bad. Will be fixed tomorrow.

Location: New Plymouth | GD2 is what phpbb uses to convert and change images, Its quite a common php extension ( http://nz2.php.net/gd ). Shell is what command prompt is to windows. Lets you control all aspects of your server and makes installing files easy. Unix is what linux is based off it was original created in 1969 if my history is correct. Its sort of like DOS. |
