Locking threads

Is there anyway of setting up a lock thread feature only availiable to the original poster of a thread??

Just curious if this is at all possible so the original post can close a thread aswell. I am not suggesting that they be able to unlock a thread which has been locked by them or any of the mods.

Random thought for the day, why do you guys think?

without starting another thread...
how come you can no longer delete the last post in a thread if your the last one to post.

eg... if you double post the delete button doesn't seem to appear anymore?

That is a really good idea aye! Good for posts that turn to shit - on the other hand might defeat the purpose of a Hall of LOL

Two reasons. To stop people from deleting their stupid posts. There was a we spat of users not that long ago that would ask stupid stuff, get paid out, and then delete their topics. To stop people from deleting "evidence." We had a few people sell stuff fraudently and delete all their replies in the topic, made life a bit of a hassle to get the complete information.

We track changes if people edit their posts, but can't if they delete them.

And yeah it's not a stupid idea, but it could have it's draw backs (Other than just Hall of LOL ). Either way, it can't be implemented at the moment.
