I had been wondering why the pages were a little slower to load until i saw the banners there. Bit of a pain for dial up, but i can understand the need for advertising to help make it all self sufficient forum.

I wouldn't like to see it get like the NZPC forums, i can't be stuffed going on there any more because it is just too slow.

I can't say I've noticed the difference (and I'm on crap Paradise.net dialup) - once each ad has loaded once it seem stay in cache anyway.

We've tried to make the banners as small (kb wise) as possible.. I might go through them all again and make them ever smaller.
