Personal Insults

I don't know if this is covered in the forum rules or not, I can't find them, but I think it should be a rule that you aren't allowed to make personal insults in a post. I think that disagreeing or even contradicting people is ok, since we all have different opinions on many things, but adding the insults at the end are just childish and cause fights. Would it be possible for the moderators to delete or change these posts (and I don't mean changing them so they are still insults)?

Its kind of a grey area, since lots of people really deserve a bit of shit

But if anyone personally is seriously offended by someones comments, then pm a mod and ask for help, thats what they're there for (among other things)

I read your rules, GecKo, thanks. Was very impressed and I think it is a minor milestone in NZH history. I know I'm not a perfect member but there are still times I wish people would just be nicer to each other. I see half joking comments taken seriously and the replies taken even more seriously and then all hell breaks loose. Relax everyone, cars are fun!

I didn't write the rules by myself, borrowed the bulk from www.phpbb.com, and edited them a bit, and got sujestions from other moderators.

Hopefully with a set of rules things will be alot cleaner, but like others in this topic, I beleave lots of people really deserve a bit of shit, but only to a certain extent.

Take MattSA for example, making a phyiscal threat to a forum admin after a series of events which all boil down to a question to his sexuality. That is about a quarter mile past the certain extent, and therefore, he was removed.

Hopefully we don't see any more people of this personality, and we should run along just fine

Because I don't think anyone here wants to read pages of people abusing each other. Why do you feel the need to fight with people you haven't met? Can't you disagree with someone without having to insult them as well?

I don't think you have a bad rep. If it wasn't for these few posts I probably wouldn't be very aware of your presence, and there's not been anything in this thread that I think is unreasonable, although your last post was a bit odd. Challenging the mods to press a few buttons? Don't worry about it, I don't think anyone gonna hold anything against you. I don't read every post, but i haven't seen anything unforgiveable.
