Dyno results

255kw At the wheels last night, with a stinkload more drivability, ready for taupo this weekend.
its a na25 head and 30 block, it has a garett t3/t4, sh*t wastegate, bov 750cc inj 2x bosch pumps, haltech ecu, after a few hours on the dyno we came to the conclusion that the stainless manifold cant flow enough and the w/g setup is not really ideal,

Re: Dyno results

should be alot of fun!

whats one of those weigh?

my mates r33 rb30(lun1tk) is insane with 350rwkw(detuned) so once you get manifold/wastegate sorted it will be a handful!!

x2, was gunna say an rb30 tuned making less than 300wkw, on an old bmer.. considering that other teg made 250 wkw on standard internals!

Re: Dyno results

Brother in law had an rb30 in his skyline, only made 240kw at 14psi, because the dsr turbo which was ment to be able to have 500hp 'easy' was way to restrictive and couldn't make anymore power.

Has to do with cars, clearly you have no apreciation for the work put in here, 255kwatw while not massive numbers is enough to put it sideways on the drift circut while still being very reliable for week in week out racing.

Thanks to those who have posted positive comments the owner of the car is stocked!

Re: Dyno results

Would have expected more kw from that setup - perhaps an exhaust restriction, rather than manifold?
The exhaust housing on that turbo looks TINY!

Stock manifolds get that hot too, just they're usually covered in so much shit you cant see them.

My manifold almost turns white when on boost...

Re: Dyno results

Cool setup, yeh you may have quite alot of retarded timing making MASSIVE exhaust temps.

Mate build a RB25DE and added a xspower turbo. Around 265kw at the wheels with a chipped RB20DET ECU, and 440cc injectors

swapped to a RB30 tho because the turbo was too big for the 25. Awaiting tuning

Re: Dyno results

no-one has asked how much boost - it might be at only 10psi - would be a pretty good figure considering if that was the case.

Re: Dyno results

Theyre very fun engines to drive, however these days gas is beoming such a bitch, and its impossible to get fuel economy from them if your boosting, and unless your rich I just cant justify paying the price for a bit of sideways action. I can do a 1st to 3rd gear run in my liner and see the difference in the fuel gauge drop; i'm seriously contemplating going back to a b16at or a 4agte just for the economy part.

Re: Dyno results

these are drift cars I’m talking about, not driven to the track etc

gas isn't even given a thought

All Nissans 2.5L and over suck the gas from what I’ve seen

Re: Dyno results

I wanna see a 2jz in an e46 coupe. If i had money that's what I'd do . Not so much a fan of the older bmws or teh rb. Although RB30/25 is a proven combo so mad props
