PCV Questions ??

Hey Guys,
I did search and have read the post on honda tech about the PCV setup when u are running boost but dont understand it all that well.

Does anybody have any pics of how they did their PCV system?
What do you use to block up the hole at the back of the block once you remove the black box?

Any info and pics on how to modify the PCV system to compensate for boost would be awesome.

Cheers in advanced.

You can get a one way valve and put that inline, or just leave it open vented but you will lose about 3hp.

Im going to be uncharacteristically blunt and say shut thee fuck up. Loose about 3 hp = good times.

To answer your Question 2OBESE besides the sticky in the FI forum (which should cover more than anything you needed to know, not a dig just pure fact). BTLF3D had a run of plugs for the hole but they are also commercial available from the likes of z10 engineering in the states or you could murder the original pcv chamber and stick that in, this is what i initially did, if I can find it its yours for free if it helps you.

All you want to do is vent excess "pressure" out of the motor, commonly two lines are run of the front of the B series VC as there already a "baffle" (just double skinned really) to stop pure oil running in the lines.

AS you probably already know there is also the two plugs at the back of the block that can be removed for Honda hose tails, theses are especially hard to fin (impossible?) locally, I'd suggest paying the minimal amount for the honda ones and save yourself the trouble.

Be some what warned that some people make a note of excess oil in their cans from running the two lines mentioned above. I personally never experienced this but others have.

Yea i read the Honda-Tech Post, understand most of it. Tried to get a hold of Z10, E-mailed them and tried to purchase the Breather Box plug via the online store, but just doesnt let me go to the payment screen and they dont e-mail back, Might give them a ring on monday. Think im just gonna do it the way you and honda -tech say to, with the two plugs at the back of the block and just hope i dont get shit loads of oil filling the can, If you could find the peace that you used to block of the breather box hole, let me know, would help heaps.

Cheers for all the info dude.

Can you let me know how you get on with them? I'm in the same boat the cart won't let you proceed, emailed all their email addresses and no response either.

Just go to repco/appco/super cheap .. and get a freeze plug for like $5.. stick it in the freezer, then tap it into the hole where the PCV box was ..

Alternatively, you could modify the old PCV box, to accept back the oil that goes into your catch can..

I found that anything under 10psi, no oil would go into catch can with lines in the back of the block, over that though, and would fill up reasonably quick, The line back to the block has fixed that issue though.
