The turbo in my city is broken
But i have a hybrid that bigelboe has made up for me which will go pretty much straight on .....thing is i dont have a good place to do it and i want it to go in soon.

If anyone with a bit of experience wouldnt mind helping fit it i would very much appreciate it.

I am in dunedin and am a student so ill give you a box of beers for the help

I dont mind the car being off the road for a week or so.

You will need bigger pipes going to and from the turbo on the inlet side because the VJ6 stuff is bigger, you will also most probably need to loosen and spin the housings slightly to align them properly as I didn't have an un-molested city turbo turbo to align them from (although I got it pretty close).

You will also need to mess with the hoses going to the wastegate a bit as there is no nipple on the compressor housing like there is in city turbo turbo, and the T2 wastegate actuator I had to use has two inlets on it.

I couldn't find enough bolts (1 short on the compressor housing, little 8mm head one) and one circlip so you will have to tax these off your old turbo, no biggir you have to take them off to remove the turbo anyway.

The other difference will be you will either have to get some new studs for the dump side of the turbo housing, or use bolts. I took the ones out of the T1 housing like 3 years ago and have no idea where they are. You can get appropriate high tensile bolts from repco in the little packs for like $10 or something. Either that or you could have a go at getting the studs out of your old turbo, but its not particularily easy.

Ideally you also should modify a gasket and get a dump pipe on there or else you will probably be really dissapointed as it will be a lot laggier (because of the much larger and better flowing exhaust side) and with no real benefit over a stock setup.
