you think that is the reason why it shakes because it has no traction bars? i think the reason it shakes is because of the tyres my car shakes whenever i dont use my proper slicks...
Will slicks be going on it anytime soon?

haha, this one is the opposite then. when racing on hancook circuit tires, no axle tramp, put hoosiers on it and it shakes the hell outa the car. tires are hoosier 225 50 15 dot.

although it could also be something to do with the power or diff aswell. have only used the slicks after the b18c was put in with the cusco lsd.

but traction bars will definately fix the problem, got some spare rose joints loafing about in the garage, just gotta make the brackets and bars and stuff up.

numbers are in, 201kw at 7000rpm. flattens off a bit after that. full boost at 2500 rpm. torque fairly flat once car is on boost.

went for a fang, its cool fun. blow off valve is very loud!!!!!

will post dyno chart as soon as digi camera turns up.

Great result! Damn you honda guys and your Vtec

Will be very interesting to see the graphs and see how the turbo holds up. Being Chinese it could go either way.

I think I've missed it but is this a B16 or B18?

and it doesnt really matter if it runs outa puff up high.. just hit the next gear and go...

i see a CRX Vs Delsol race coming up soon

roughly how long did it all take (the tune im meaning.. just thinking how much drinks il need to bring haha)..

and how big is your exhaust and downpipe again? 2.5"?

Good power!
I thought it was a B16A?

If you wanted you go go quite a bit more than 200kw on a B18C but 200kw is reliable if tuned well.

there is your answer.. b18c...

it was b16 but they did b18c swap for more power.. then to go boost!

and have done so..

Yea it only took half a day to tune it. And that was with problems to fix as well. Wastegate didn't wana open so it kept over boosting to 18psi.

But Lin messed with it a bit and got it to open up. So all good there.

Cheers for the feedback guys. 200kw is sweet for me as it's my daily driver too. Stupid auckland weather won't allow anymore for a front wheel drive hahaha.

Not bad Stace, esp considering you were aiming for less power than that!

some more pics:

one thing we missed on the turbo conversion weekend was the airfilter mount. got it welded up in town. there is not a lot of room for the airfilter so we got the smallest K&N we could find. it was still a bit big but i would fit if it was mounted right hard up against the turbo. this was the result.

and it works mint. the small hole in the side is so i can get a screw driver in to put a hose clamp on where its connected to the turbo.

here is the car on the dyno down at tauranga:

and the picture everyone wants to see, 201kw!

enjoy.
