Location: Hamilton | wow what are the odds I'd pick this up first... First off and most important Nate_dog did the work on my engine not I. Also unsure if theyr'e different but mine are FD rx-7 injectors not evo's. Te rapa auto electrical did alot of wiring on the car they may have done this. Ill be the first to say dont turbo your type R motor. |

| Senior Member 3,000rpm (Grandma Drag) | I have vr4 injectors but i am unsure weather they use the same plugs as evo ones? It was a really easy swap. The rubber rings from the b18 injectors just needed to be shaved a bit to fit around the vr4 ones and the factory plugs just needed the outside taken off so they could fit inside the vr4 inj (does that make sense?) Anyway it was real easy  Hope this helps? |

for the o rings, just use the standard b18c ones but use a dremmel tool to sand out the inside 1mm or else do what i did and getsome new ones from that o ring importer in frankton. i cant remember the name of the streets they are on, but its just before the railway bridge on hamilton side, not greenwood st side. they will give you round shaped ones insead of square shaped ones though, but they do the same job. | |

Well I wouldnt say that some of the best vtec turbos have in the country have used the b18c5 engine such as wickys, top fuel turbo teg and civic rolling around But better off using b18c1 engine

| Well technically we dont get the B18C5 engine in new zealand, that code is exclusively used to refer to USDM ITR engines, its just referred to as the B18CR because most of our ITR's are JDM imports. Nitpicking I know, but the engines have a number of differences I believe. But if he wants to turbo his ITR engine, all I have to say is good luck with that, and make sure it doesn't blow up ![]() |

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | thanks for the pointer hayce lol but whats done is done... then engine is ar rsl and will be put back together this week with forged internals. i did look into sleeving but yea anything sorta excess of 300kw atw requires sleeving but my build will be a more reliable 250kw atw ish i get what ya mean with the injector plugs and i did think thats what i was gunna have to do just thought i better ask some1 whos done it b4 i fuk sumthing up, ive got 510cc evo injectors but ive just been offered fd rx7 ones which are 550cc so i'll leave it till i put the engine back in cheers for the help guys.. i know im gunna get some hate for turboin a type r but at the end of the day 150kw out of an 8k n-a build or 250kw out of a 10k turbo build its hard to "say no to turbo" |

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | yea dans doing the manifold, intercooler piping and 3inch exhaust right through, lol @ the copyright, turbo will be mounted the same way so not sure how different the manifold will be, does it count if its a different grade stainless?? lol yea im usin eagle rods and cp pistons as far as i know, was gunna be je's but they had none in stock (rsl's supplier from the usa) he assures me they are good so i got a bit of faith in the man. i didnt really have much choice in doing it properly coz lets be honest the type r internals wouldnt put up with much for long then end up making the inevitable rebuild alot more expensive |

| Senior Member 18,000rpm+ Honda F1! | CP pistons are the awesum! just about as good, if not better than JEs good quailty for price and very well balanced ![]()

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | well hopefully this is the last week my car sits in the garage with no engine, just gets so depresing lol antz took some pics of the rather naked itr, atleast i put the front bumper on so it wouldnt look quite so rude so check it out and give opinions on wether or not i should mesh/grill the front bar to stop from stone damage etc to the interfreezer, personally i think it looks good as is and am worried the mesh may comprimise the tough look somewhat |
