Location: Auckland | DEL SOL F20c Track Car All new to hondas but have got my hands on Dave Strongs ex rally car. Will be running in SS2000 next year and also on gravel in the winter. Its a turn key rally car so just need some bolt on track goodies for the summer season. Any ideas for Track suspension and spring rates |

I think with that car there won't be to much suspension advice floating around. I would say it is a chassis that has not been used much for racing before (At least not in NZ). Perhaps your best bet would be to talk to Stocks or Autolign and see what they recommend. Nice car though. I know some of the ss2000 guys had their eye on it.

Spring rates is up to you personally and whether you want understeer/trail braking etc. I'd imagine the weight bias between front and rear wont be any different to an EG civic so I doubt you would have to take that into account. :edit: why did I think this was RWD? Nice buy by the way, Good luck in SS2000, smoke some civics/integras for me ![]()

Location: Auckland | Re: DEL SOL F20c Track Car Cheers for your input guys, hondas are all new to me. First stop will be Stocks to discuss some options with a spare set of rally sticks we have lying around. A day at Puke track highlighted the need for sump baffles, poor convertible lotus elise drivers that were following a cloud of smoke onto the back straight. Any ideas were to head in auckland for a baffle man.. |

There are many different theory's on how to setup a car. Just have a bit of a play around, and get the car going how you like it.

He built it and knows a bit about making Hondas go fast (his cars first, second and third in kiwi2 last year) and I'm sure he would be OK to help out with what bits are in it etc. Have fun, it is a seriously quick car. |
