| Team NZH: Retired 6,000rpm (Max Torque) | You should know, you used to have one hehe B16A2 has large 'VTEC' and small 'DOHC' ... B16A1 is big DOHC small VTEC. B16A2 has different inlet manifold. B16A2 has different throttle body. B16A2 will have the water temp sensor on the thermostat housing as opposed to on the back of the block on the B16A1. Errrr if you have the head off the pistons on the A2 will be 'P30' as opposed to PR3 on the A1. Easiest : I am pretty sure that the B16A2 block numbers start with '14'. Hope that helps ![]() Edit : Also the B16A2 will use 1 oxygen sensor down by the exhaust flange as opposed to two up in the 4-2 part of the manifold on the B16A1. Also if its a B16A2 in a DA like you used to have it will still have a cable trans but it will be YS1, all the rest of the B16A2's should be mated to hydraulic boxes. Hope that helps some more |
