depends on the event, and whos running it, sometime u will get thrown in pro import sometimes u wont

technically speaking pro import is one of the classes run at NZDRA sactioned events - it has becomes a bit of a common phrase - but technically cars are "tech inspected" much the same was a MANZ cert type thing is and then the car is ok to run in pro import - the main advantage is the weight and the tyres.

Does anyone know of any power and weight figures for the cars in the 11 sec class??

I dont think it would be too hard to be lighter than cars in the sport mod class (900kg) in a street/drag car.

I see in the US their allmotor class weight is around 1500lb, so i guess you can see how they can build low 10s to high 9s cars.
Hopefully if there is ever a dedicated allmotor class here the weight breaks will be a bit lower to give the top boys a crack at 9s.

depends on what series they run in as to the regulations, hondas with Kseries motors have a significant weight penitly comparted to other models.

i know Tony's EK is 1060kg ish with out him in the car, but of course its still a street car so retains power windows and all the heaters seats etc.

garys eg was hell light, u could lift the back of it up easially, and weighed in at 720kg, and i believe the weight limit for his class was 710kg with driver

With 300HP they are running high 10s and 11s street car with good tires

in theory 1000kg car with 160kwish should run high 11



should be seein Few Hondas runnins low 11 or mid 11 next season for sure

Yeah thats a valid point!

I rekon if they primed up Lakeside with a shitload of VHT that would be a massive start and revamp the Meremere rollercoaster lol!

I live in Napier so we are looking to hire the track for our inital setup once all the tuning is done.
The crx should be weighing around 850kg with driver and around 200kw@whls+ according to Kevin at Kelford,so with any luck we will be right into the 11s as well with 10s being our main goal once the suspension and tyres are set right.
