Photo request

Right I know this is a bit odd but does anyone have a highish res photo of some pine trees or a pine forest etc? I need one for a little project I have going one but all I have come up with is this:

I would have used this but there is an assload of unnecessary crap in there. Would need to be of decent quality as its going to be blown up pretty big and printed on vinyl.
If anyone could help I'd very much appreciate it, if all goes well I'll post up some pics of the finished product in the next 4-6 weeks.

Re: Photo request

Hmmm, would really like a shot of just the actual greenery of a the tree. Would also consider a shot of some pines in the foreground with the ocean in the background. I'm sure there are some trees in Auckland somewhere

Re: Photo request

Right so after a good bit of procrastination today I found this photo:

Problem is its very small (512x876) and I'm going to assume that blowing it up to 1.5x0.8m is going to make it look utter shit.

So hopefully David can come up with something like that (and I'll send him some money for a frozen coke) and I can get this thing sorted.

Reason I want to try this whole idea is that we have 2 of these coming in the next 2 or 3 weeks hopefully and I reckon it'd look wicked to have a huge pine tree climbing up the back of the cab. I hope the cost of doing it isnt out of reach though

Re: Photo request

hey man,

i did manage to find some pine tree around auckland today and gave some shots, but the weather was really crap so results weren't so good.

no blue sky, and greeness of the tree became quite dark.

Re: Photo request

I think the boss would appreciate that but its a wee bit uneccessary

Have had a chat with him anway and he has said that if I come up with something good then sure we can do it.

So I used my shithouse Photochop skills to do this:

Note that I've put logs on the side of this one, we're getting two units so I thought it'd be cool to have them slightly different

Re: Photo request

Yep exactly, as long as it looks cool going down the side of the cab in that sort of swoosh effect.

Re: Photo request

Okay bringing this thread back up as I finally got off my arse and learnt how to use Photoshop properly.

What does everyone think of these two designs? I want each truck to be different as apart from the different trailers and rear bumpers they'll be almost identical.

Re: Photo request

I prefer the first design, it looks really good with the fade. May I ask why you want the two trucks to be different? I thought it would have been better to have a standardised fleet look, plus I should think it would be cheaper only doing one layout as opposed to two different.

We only have two loggers so I thought a subtle difference would be nice. Its pretty easy for the signwriter to adapt the design so I see no issue. Although if the old man is feeling like a righ tightarse when the time comes I'm inclined to just do the top one on both of them. Gota quote for $670+gst for one truck so it's not to costly from what I know.

Scanias or Fusos? We're going with a green like your guys green for the chassis so it's gonna look like Kermit the fucking frog. I have to name them at some stage too.
