Yeah i saw that the other day when my partner was searching for "veeee dubs!", for her unofficial classic car collects.

Looks pretty full on thats for sure. Be very difficult to drive it on the limit.

Not sure why you'd bother with the engine swap; you should be able to make similar power levels by putting a turbo on a 1500. Don't have to do anything to the drivetrain then.

And you can still use the factory bootlid

Wheelstands? you need some serious tyres for that. These things like lighting up the back wheels, esp if it's wet

1302 gearbox is damn near bulletproof, provided you don't run it at 9000rpm
Beetles weigh less than 800kg, and most of the weight is near the back, so once you get some traction, wheelstands aren't too difficult

I've raced against this car several times at Manfeild track. There is frequently another Beetle with a 2500cc N/A Subaru engine in it that comes with our group as well.

This particular one is very quick and amazingly nimble. Someone just got themselves a real bargain, the owner is completely genuine and very knowledgeable, I've talked to him on several occasions.

Can't wait to get our EJ20T VW Buggy in the works properly!
