One of my Uni papers -Just finished

Well just completed this today, and pretty pleased with it so i though id post some pics up, F'n sweet paper, and so easy compared to the rest just had to do full working drawing, costings, and manufacturing report then make it - Ive still goa bit of work to do like stain the wood, polish the stainless and re-align everything, only downside to it all is thats $550 of materials there and forget consumable and the time to make it

That is sweet dude. I'd be super proud and stoked to design something like that and then make it.

You should do the math and see if you can put it in production and sell it at like Freedom or the like. I can see rich people with too much money buying that and lounging beside their pool like this.

That looks pretty cool, love the weld work on the frame. I reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea if you welded some armrests on it. Looks really arty like a sculpture but practical.

I thought its rather ergonomic. Anyways, flip it over and you can bend your missus over it too.

That looks comfy!

Seating position reminds me of a driving sim gamers chair.

Nice work

Good ply looks mean when you stain it, and marine ply because it has to be outdoors.

Nice work man

Again, why? AFAIK marine ply isn't even treated, it has a different kind of glue that softens when heated (usually by steam) so it can be curved to shape for making boats, and its designed to be fibreglassed over. For outdoor use you'd want H3 treated ply.

Looks sweet, Did you look at getting dome head bolts so they didn't stick up. (mind you if the missus slips over one and catches her bikini top that could be worth it)

Re: One of my Uni papers -Just finished

It's actually a really cool design concept which I think is the idea. I like the raw simplicity of it, welds and bolts is what makes it real in this soft sanitised world.

Also kinda along the lines of what lowproz said, I'd love to see weels and an engine on it just for kicks.
