I appreciate your enthusiasm, but your saying in your initial post you want to do a b series turbo conversion, be realistic, otherwise this thread is just a joke, even if you saved all your wages for a year (bout 16k after tax) and didnt spend a cent on living you would struggle to build a decent turbo setup, lower you car, mags, paint job etc..

Best of luck though, id recomend a airfilter, exhaust, lowering springs and some nice mags, mite be achievable with the help of trademe..

dude just do a 15 or a 16sohc vtec bolts directly in dont need to buy mount kits and just gotta do some easy as wiring (besides carb to injected) and it'll sting ya around $600 all up roughly engine gbox ecu and injected bits

Re: My Prodject Crx

Good luck, point your mind to it and it can be done, I saved up for and imported a 1999 Integra Type R on $9 an hour, before that I saved up for a $5000 car on $9 and 18 hours a week.

If you want it bad enough you will get it, dont bother getting a loan, you just end up cheating yourself

Re: My Prodject Crx

Welcome to NZHondas....

all this talk about engine swaps to get more power etc... but the very first thing this guy said is he wants to get 17s on his car.... this is going to be the very first place you're going to loose power. 17s are heavy for a start and way too big for a crx which is meant to go 'quick' - they are more for show.

Invest in some nice and light 14s or 15s and you'll see the difference in just that even on your car being stock.

Re: My Prodject Crx

There are some white WORK rally 14's with good rubber on trademe at the moment for $350 ad they look sweet.
Would me mean on a lowered crx, I love the small wheel lowered look on little cars.

Re: My Prodject Crx

Not a carb turbo.

Exactly what 2-2.2L carbs will fit on the civic?

Re: My Prodject Crx

So your Civic is auto???

Make a manual conversion the first thing on your list.

WIll be a good way to start a project and get to know your way around the car.

Re: My Prodject Crx

No idea, try ringing Strong for Honda and ask how much a manual box is. ANd ask them what you will need to do the conversion.

Re: My Prodject Crx

Are you sure it is twin cam? The Ferio is usually a SOHC VTEC, VTi or EXi.

Pop the hood and there will be a blue badge that has a chassis code on it "EGx", x being a number. What is it?
