Really? That runs pretty close to the ground, and I don't think it would go too well if a stone found it's way in there at 8000rpm.

Strong for Honda is sending all this stuff for free though, which is good, although it would be better if it was all there in the first place!

If you can afford it just buy a 93-95 DC2, a lot less work, cheaper (in most cases), and more reliable. Hopefully if you do decide to do what I'm doing I can help a bit.

I don't know when I'll get started. I guess I just have to commit to it one day, hire a hoist, and rip the engine out.

Old motor I'll be selling for a few hundred dollars with everything that I don't need, that means wiring and ECU etc... Yea I can't wait for the "boobaaaaing" around.

Yea I know what you mean - but they're going to send it for free anyway so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Re: B18C > DC1, probably the most boring build ever. UPDATE: 13/06/08 - ENGINE ARRIVE

Over the last few days I've been n00bishly attempting to get my engine ready for removal.

The victim:

Jacked up, some stuff taken off:

Engine + transmission oil, and coolant drained:

After many hours of bleeding, sweating, cursing, and getting noobishly pounded in the face by the exhaust pipe , I was at this stage:

Tonight I finished off and now the only things connecting it to the chassis are the driver and passenger mounts. Don't have a pic of that yet, but it's all chained up, ready for removal on sunday.

Nothing has been too hard so far, it's just taken me a while...

I've also bought a 2 1/2" pipe, 4 1/2" tip cat-back exhaust off Adam that will be the first performance modification to the car, apart from the intake.

That picture was earlier on, all that stuff is off now, only 2 mounts holding it in.

Tonight I managed to get the dash out and I'll start swapping the wiring soon.

Lol? I have big hands? And it deserves a big thumbs up!

And it's nowhere near the same scale as the engine!

Phew!

I just got the engine swapped today and started on getting it ready.

I'll get some pics up shortly, unfortunately I didn't get any during the actual process.

So far there haven't really been any issues with my B18C > DC1 swap, fairly straightforward, it's just taking me a while!

Yay, I've had the B18C running open header and it runs perfect, I've just got to finish off the wiring and start putting the dash back in etc.

Thanks! I don't have much more to do, hopefully I'll be driving it today?

I was just wondering, we filled up the oil about a week ago and yesterday it was at the lower dot? It might have been on jacks when we filled it though I can't remember.
