Location: Auckland | Re: Type R Build Thread Came home from work today a bit early so ripped into it Masked up the bay ready for the primer. ![]() ![]() Got out the 2pak primer ![]() And after 3 good coats of primer we have the priming done ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unmasked it, now I will give it probably about 4 days to really settle because I would prefer not to get much/any shrinkage, really wanting a nice smooth finish. ![]() Went down to Enzed this afternoon and got a couple of Hose tails for the steering rack so I can loop the rack. I just have to get some pipe to suit now. Damn my subframe is so FILTHY!!! soon to be sorted ![]() ![]() |

Location: Auckland | Re: Type R Build Thread Just took the head off last night, I am thinking of putting a spoon head gasket in cause it increases the compression anyone got an opinion ? as for the motor just cleaning it up mint, replace cambelt headgasket and put a thermal intake gasket in it. |

Location: Auckland | Re: Type R Build Thread(updated 06/06/2008) I have been working hard on the loom today, not finished yet but nearly there ![]() Took the head off the other night, its now down at GER having the valve stem seals replaced a general clean up, so here the block with no head ![]() Also been doing a bit of polishing, damn my hands are sore from buffing for like 4 hours today on the machine LOL, but im pleased with the result ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
