Bit of an update - been working solid since 8 - so 8pm till 1am.

spent 1 hour cleaning the garage - actually was probably more like 1 1/2

then i moved the red car into the newly created space in the second bay....

Then finallly got the silver car into the garage.

So this is what I have acheived tonight.

Removed all suspension and replaced with stock
removed complete exhaust system incl cat and headers
removed linkages
removed axels
removed battery

so essentially - all the work now needing to be done is above the car as such - until the new exhaust/linkages and so-on need to go back in.

Tomorrow I wil have a couple hours so will get the motor out and on the floor. if I have any spare time i'll get the rear trims, speaker wiring, rear parcel tray (with 6 X 9) installed.....and if even more time will get all the rear seats and rear quater glass trim etc.

Then all I need is the carpet for main area and I can get the rest of the interior sorted..

more progress today - lots actually.

Motor is out of the silver car and innovative mounts take out (rear mount a pig to take out as always).

Silver car out of garage and green car in garage.

Axels and linkages out, radiator and headers out

So just need to do wiring and bits and bobs and that motor will be out.

Sunday will be a day of rest

Monday we'll get the silver one back in action bar axels (ones in green car had 3 out of 4 boots split) so tuesday we'll get those fixed so it'll be going tuesday night

huge progress over the weekend. - wife stole camera today so some of it not documented.

Essentially the silver car is now fully function with green car's running gear incl motor/box linkages complete exhaust and so on.

Rear of the car is all put together incl all rear trims, seats, carpet and parcel tray.

Going to test fit my EG hatch carpet in the front tomorrow night (should fit) in which case the car should pretty much be finished by tomorrow night.

Wil be WOF'd and REG'd by Wednesday so all ready to drive while the green one undergoes its bits.

Righto - so here are some pics of the weekends exploits - my wife stole the digicamera on the day where all the exciting stuff happened so there is a big gap in the timeline but you get the idea

Frist mission was garage tidy - considering I now have 2 cars in the space that 1 was you can appreciate the tidying that went down. You can see the first silver victim inside ready for treatment.

Height of car with new sus (std shocks and some RSR springs I think it is - just a 15-20mm drop - firmer and safer for the wife.


Here you can see header, radiator and overflow are out, throttle cable and power steering hose disconnected and so on

Here are the axels that came out of green teg - 3 out of 4 boots completely munted - needless to say they have been sent away for full inspection and re-grease/re-boot and so on.

Here is where I got up to friday night - was a long session!!! Had no camera saturday so no pics till Monday. Rad was out - axels were out - fluids drained and so on.

Now for the rear interior install. For those of you who have put back the rear of a car completely for scratch you will know its a fair mission - heaps little clips and brackets and so on. Here are some progress pics.

no - we have around 1500sq metres of grass which is why you can see a ride on lawnmower in one of those pics!! haha
