well this is true.....what I think he means is 12psi of supercharger more stress then 12 psi of a turbo. This is all turbo dependent - 12psi of a GT35/40 versus 12psi of a supercharger is gonna make a lot more power and put more stress on the motor....but 12psi is 12psi when it comes down to the actual pressure on the motor.

yeah thats the one adam, as far as im aware SC boost is almost instant from idle where as turbo boost is more later on (turbo dependent) etc
im keen to see how it goes on 12psi tho

it is still depending on the throttelbody - if you are on the motorway cruising at 3000rpm you aren't sitting there at 4psi the whole time.......

There is a bypass valve which releases pressure until the vacume from the t/b sucks it closed and then the pressure goes in - something like that I think

Yeah that sounds about right, so you can still drive it quietly and not have it constantly boosting. Did you get Injectors and an ECU with it or does that come later?

Water/Methynol Injection kit - mine was getting hot at only 6psi.

you can't run a cooler on a twin screw type supercharger - it just goes straight into the motor......

righto - so the motor is out of the this car and waiting to be split from the box so i can send it and the supercharger to RSL for then installation etc.

I am researching water/meth injection setups and will almost certainly run one when getting it going or very soon after.......whether I go to the 12psi pulley not is another matter.

I need to get Big Tube header, injectors, water meth and then its ready for action pretty much

Have decided to wire tuck the engine bay and give it an all round tidy up etc

Will update accordingly.
