Got a WOF this arvo and getting rego tomorrow. I am gonna plumb in a boost gauge to make sure it isn't "boosting" on light throttle so i know it safe to drive up to warkworth for tuning...

aside from that I need to get it home and tidy up the inside

know that on my motor when you give it a kane it likes to pass a bit of water and then bring it back in

Yep standard cars do that, overflow raises in level and then sucks back through again when cooled down.

Car will get up to temp just as fast as a stock motor(provided you got a working thermostat), however it won't overheat with that decent cooler

so took out the strut braces and rear car loom last night to prepare for interior painting....

Used the compressor and air gun to blast stuff everywhere then vacuumed it out and finally brushed thinners everywhere to clean the surface - just did rear struts and back.

Will give it a final vacuum tonight probably and spray some paint around - am not gonna be super fussy but just want a half decent finish - better then it is now anyways.

Can confirm that the car is getting tuned on Thursday morning So should have details and results in the arvo....

Have discovered that the pulley on the setup atm is the higher 12psi pulley so need to put the lower 6psi pulley back on and seems that the thermostat is stuck open as the car runs almost dead cold when cruising (big radiator) so need to sort that too..Will try and get those 2 things done tomorrow.....

Which means I need to do a bit of a late night mission after the disturbed concert to get things ready.

I would double check the thermostat before changing it……

My mate changed his radiator from stock 1 on a 180sx to a double thickness aluminium one and it never budged over the first temp mark on the guage………….we thought same thing, so we pulled it out and put thermostat in a kettle to see when it opens at boiling point, and it was fine……………

The only problem is the radiator is so efficient that it cools too well……..lol

yeah that was my other thought - I have to change a couple small things so will check it out at the same time just to be sure.
