| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | I have to get it painted for now anyway as I am getting the holes shaved and a carbon bootlid is last on the list at moment and wont be coming for a very long time. This is the last lot of exterior mods that I am doing to it. More money into engine  |

Location: Auckland | What are you going to do in terms of headers? Honda Tech did a comparo and found very little difference between the Mugen header and a US-made one called SMSP. Everything else wasn't as good. Mugen costs $1700 odd, and SMSP is about $1150US + shipping. Quite a lot of money for about 8hp, although they both look the business. I'm thinking about that for mine, in the not-too-distant future. Also - you doing the intake manifold? I've got all the stuff on order from Skunk, but apparently you need to beat the firewall back an inch to fit it     I be keen to watch this thread, see what you find works, and blatently plagiarise it

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | I am looking at some TRR ones still or even might go for X-Force for the cheaper option... I also looked at Skunk2 intake manifold and thanks for that info! Its all about budget still. Engine mods wont be until late April for me though... |

Location: Christchurch | Euro-R headers should be fine for now, I wouldn't imagine you would get a worthwhile gain/$ with the TRRs. Honda got the design of the R-series headers pretty good. As Kane said, look at some SMSP or Comptech. Keep the boot white and save for a carbon bootlid.

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | I would want to go 4-1 I think if I upgrade my headers. I have to paint the boot anyway so its not going to make a price difference from white to black.... What would look better for now? |

Let me know how you get on with the 4-1. I'd probably want to stick to 4-2-1. And I would say don't bother with the intake manifold until you've done everything else. It's heaps of work, and doesn't do much.

Valid point on the headers though. Cheaper ones aren't much of an upgrade on Euro R ones - would only be an upgrade on standard H22A ones.

Location: Christchurch | I was pretty sure in Best Motoring they said the EuroR had improved header design, and a bigger collector?

Location: Christchurch | euro-r headers have the larger collector then normal h22a but primary design and build is not good, f20b headers and euro-r headers are completly idendical. I have custom on mine. |
