Still not go doors etc back from painter so Ive been doing little things like dummy fitting the pedals/heater blower/ clutch slave etc just to check that the wiring is going to work the way I wanted (it did BTW )

Also had the brake MC and Clutch bead blasted. Bought a turbonetics T3 which Im probably going to sell. Bought a Defi controller. Also Edelbrock sent me an IACV block off for the victorX for $0 which I was stoked about... funny thing is they put two of thier big ass catelogues in the package which cost them US$9.50 in postage

This house thing is nearly over my the looks so I can get back into the car... its actually been pretty good having a little break for a bit

err nope.

Trucks exit the shop on Friday so the car should be seeing attention again next week. Other than that Ive only ordered some mounts from the US which should be on their way in the next few days.

Guess the biggest news albiet un car related is our house went unconditional today and the deposit has been paid

Oh and Ive gone and got a tube bender, cutter and double flare tool, Im going to do these brake lines even if it bloody kills me

it's hard to find a decent flaring tool, i bought what i thought was a good one from an engineering shop and it couldn't even flare a honda brake line, kept sliding down the tube.

Sounds good Lance. Look forward to seeing some progress.

Congrats on the house aswell. Found anything else to live in while you find something, or are you maybe thinking about building?

We are flatting now and move into the house on teh 23rd. The insides pretty much done but theres a butt load to do outside: gardens, fences, decks etc. Mrs is cad'ing up some plans already

Painter just droped off the booster so I can get cracking on these lines. I also just got finished with my order from anplumbing... FUCK that site is a mongrel dog to use, mustve been made on the conception of JS or something.

Oh yea, sounds good then.

Hah, so you're buying all the stuff you need and doing your own solid brake lines.. Can you not do braided hoses through-out? All I know is that they have to be crimped fittings..

Nah the anplumbing bits are for the ps rack and tube nuts for the fuel hardlines.

The brakes will use the normal fittings that are currently on the lines I had made up by the "professionals".

As far as I could tell you can have braided right the way to the prop valve but if theyre custom they must be certified by the makers. In this case the makers said they would only use crimped fittings (this is also how the off the shelf braided lines are done).
That said a bunch of race car fellas run the an fittings which are crimped fittings with no problems... just goverment balls really.

Ahuh I see now.. I was thinking about it for my car. So you're still using hardlines for your brakes then. Just had them rerun to hide them a little bit more, correct. Can you give me some figures on what this set you back?

I had new lines made up and the prop valve relocated. The shop made a mess of the lines the first time so redid them but Im still not happy so Im gonna do them. Basically just remake teh hardline and reroute it where you want it.

The shop charged me about $230 to make the lines (the redo was free).

So far the bender and cutter all up has cost me $50 & im borrowing a good flaring tool.

Congrats on the house purchase Lance!
Does the new house come with a big garage like the one at the rental?

We dont move into our house we buying till July, so Im kinda jelous of you buying and moving in at such a short time frame.

Anyways hope this beast doesnt go for sale as soon as youre done building it now that you have a house.

LOL bro I wouldnt be too jelaous... im not looking forward to paying 4 times what I was in rent

House does have a double garage and high stud carport but the garage is a bit dilapatated, gay doors and low stud so I plan on demo-ing its ass and building a big boy, Id love one with a mezzanie and a pole for ugh weekends lol.
Its pretty depressing when one of the crap-ist houses youve lived in you own and it costs you an ass load + you have to work youre guts out on it doing gardens and shit,

Hows the new city treating you?

Fittings are leaving anplumbing today... fucking thieves the damn shipping is more than the fittings!!!!!!!!!
Also the fittings come in packets of two when I only need one of each so if anyone is interested in doing something similar hit me up.

Well with a pole and mezzanine I can emagine what kinda parties could happen there!! Especially with you fair ladies friends being as hot as they are ops:

Wellytown is pretty damn good, weather has been absolutely excellent since I've moved here, one or two bad days in total. Only downside is the house we renting at the moment doesnt have a garage
