Thanks to FBI the front end looks a lot better

I also raised the front suspension to suit 26" slicks and it looks dumb

But thats because theres like a 3" gap between the little 225/45/16s and the arch

Good news is that my trailing arms are now level to the ground and the drivers side no longer fouls on the gearbox.

I'll grab some sheet aluminium from work one day and make up some eyelids too.

Lucky my company has an account with Alert Motorsport so I can get a pretty good discount on the Samco hoses that I need for my intercooler!

And also an account with Blackwoods so I can get cheap piping for my manifold!

Yeah I'm not sure, I'll see how it goes but I've got a few ideas to use both of the holes in the lower arm.

Yeah one of them blowing out would sure put the thing into the wall.

Anyway, death and injury aside 8) Might get my turbo housing flange made up during this week and then get an engine side flange and some tubing and start on my manifold

[edit]Also got some aluminium for my headlight blanks which I cut to shape at work today and then left in my toolbox

how does the traction bar actually aid in traction?
is it just a caster angle thing?
If it is why not just fabricate adjustable caster rods?

EF's are crumple zones.

Macro, what exactly is fouling the gearbox? The new tension rod? I'm a bit confused as Ef's dont have trailing arms in the front.

Yeah apologies for that, I was unsure of what it was but was never corrected!

The radius rod ops: no longer fouls since I raised the front end.

The traction bar eliminates the bushes in the factory crossmember and allows for a more rigid setup. I have personally never tried one but it's well documented and easy to understand why they can give you an advantage when it comes to drag racing.

I chose to make one because the EF9 crossmember leaves bugger all room for a 3" downpipe and it also allows me to easily fabricate intercooler mounts too.

Traction bars keep the wheels from pushing back and forth in order to keep wheel hop down

they seem to work for me

3" stainless for my downpipe. Gonna pick up a stainless flange later on in the week and hopefully get my engine side flange made up and order some tubing.

Not sure if I'm going to have this done in time for the summer season due to financial restraint ( ) But I'm going to try my best.

At an undisclosed location in Auckland, but beware I have a guard cat.

Should you get past him you probably wont want to go near my car because said guard cat has gotten all territorial and has pissed over the entire length of the car itelf ops:

Little shit.

Hey man just curious, how come u choose to use stainless as the downpipe? Be better to use steam pipe as stainless cracks real badly under vibration, my headers have so already although they are shitty XS Power...
