I'll definately hit you up for a photoshoot some time, and I'm thinking of getting into photography and buying a digital SLR, the missus and I have been playing around with some landscape (not what you're thinking you dirty bastards) photo's lately and some have come out pretty cool. While I'm here I might as well add Slotegs vid to this thread because it's awesome. ![]()

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | If you look closely in the pictures of the cage in the rear of the car you'll see that the fuel filler pipe had to be moved to accomodate the cage. I'm not allowed to run a fuel cap inside the cabin despite the fact that there are cars out there that have the fuel filler cap inside the car, (my dad's austin healy for one) So I've decided to rip out the rear quarter glass and put in Lexan MR10 abrasion resistant plastic. I'm going to fit a billet filler cap off a sports bike into the passenger side rear window and pipe the fuel down to the tank through a fuel compatible rubber hose. The cap will look like this. Later on when i re-paint the car I'll weld the original fuel filler flap into place and fair over it. If i can find two filler caps the same i could even have a filler on each side, now that'd be handy. ![]() |

From the few times I've stomped my foot I do know that they seem to have a lot of grip and when they do break loose they tend to re-stick hard and nearly shake the dash board off. Mind you the shocks are still on soft fr the run-in period. How much did you pay? you can PM me the answer if you like

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | Ok well the heat's on to get this thing sorted by early june for Chelles' track day so I have to haul ass. Here's todays efforts... ![]() 2.5 ltr surge tank in the spare wheel well, Jaguar XJ12 fuel pump as a lift pump courtesy of dad's shed I resin coated the surge tank to try and stop osmosis of fuel stinking the car out. Will be interesting to see if it works at stopping the smell or not. I plumbed it up so the surge tank does not syphon back down into the main tank when the car is turned off. It's looped to the engine and back to the surge and up from the main tank and an overflow goes from the top of the surge down to the main tank. ![]() ![]() I finally got around to ripping out the old ALB master cyl and threw a 15/16th one in out of an SIR, putting them next to each other, the SIR one looks a lot bigger, the ALB one never had a piston diameter printed on it so i dont know what it was. ![]() ![]() I got an old TZR250 yamaha tank for $30 and took the filler cap off. i had to machine off all the old shit underneath it to make it flat and now it's ready to roll when the lexan arrives. I've painted it satin black. I have also painted the roll cage satin black and started to pad it up, more pics after tomorrow. |

![]() Here's todays efforts, i've basically finished the padding but I ran out, boo. It was more of a mission than i thought it would be, I had to chop out the roof lining where the top hoop goes through. i also had to get rid of the bins on the door skins, they interfered with the padding. Pretty stoked with how it all came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | Haha I got suckered into buying one of these today....$190, i thought that was an excellent price for a cam-lock turnbuckle type. SFI rated, good for two years. ![]() Anyone else interested in helmets they are also selling FFM tour Pro II's with ECE22-05 standard compliance for $140, how much did you pay Sloteg? I'll try and buy another harness before track day (funds dependant) so we're all legit. I cant wait to do the lexan tomorrow. |
