Thats a pain in the ass though, the old forum was one click on the front page (I think it was called an egosearch) which you could bookmark so when you visit the site all your posts are there straight away. I tried saving the search on the new forum but it only works during the session and when you come back it wont work.
Usually own-posts is an option in the user CP option list isn't it?

It was my most used feature of the old site and the only thing i miss.

I have to be honest, I never once used those features on the old board, so didn't even realise they existed/people used them, that's why I didn't make sure they were in here before I switched.

I will definitely be implementing them, it's obvious they're a must have.

Re: NZHondas.com - The Third Incarnation

One feature that I noticed was missing, how in the old forums if you look at the member list you can sort it by join date, post count, name etc. in ascending or descending order. Is there an option to do that now?

Re: NZHondas.com - The Third Incarnation

Sorry, I may have missed it but "Smilies".... Are there any apart from the thread specific ones?

Any subscribing to threads, do you need to change the drop down menu everytime you want to subscribe? Or is there an option somewhere to do it automatically when you post. (Like the old forums)

Looking good though! Havnt had much time to explore lately but looking forward to it.

I'll be completely updating our smilies at some stage before the end of the week.

If you mean that you can't see any, you need to change your default editor in your User Control Panel to the Standard or WYSIWYG one. Again, I'll be doing a blanket update across the board for everyone to use the WYSIWYG one.

There is an option to subscribe by default in your User Control Panel.

Re: NZHondas.com - The Third Incarnation

Got another question, I haven't manually subscribed to any threads however in my control panel it says I've subscribed to 7 threads, refreshed it then it says I'm subscribed to 4 threads. Number of threads and thread titles keep changing all the time. How does that work?

u subscribe to a thread when u post in it as thats the default option

if ur talking about the list on your main control pannel page dont go by that u need to go down the side to this one http://nzhondas.com/forum/subscripti...ewsubscription

It would be cool if the vehicle exchange forum could distinguish location, so I don't end up clicking on a bunch of posts advertising cars in Auckland

i just noticed the birthdays thing at the bottom of the index, thats cool, now you just need to install a "happy birthday" music clip that plays whenever the birthday person clicks on a link that day.

Re: NZHondas.com - The Third Incarnation

The only thing about the birthdays on the calender, is there is a shite load of non-active members on there!

One other thing.... All the threads we were subscribed to on the old forum now need to be resubscribed manually????

Hrm yeah.. I'll see what I can do there, we don't want to split that forum into locations like the meets section, but being able to search with the users location in mind would definitely be handy. It wont happen soon, but it may happen.

You may need to rethink that.. Can you remember putting your birthdate into the old forums at all? Nope? That's cause you didn't All of those people on there have logged into the new forum and put their birthdate down, so they're definitely not non-active. If you look at the front page, you'll see this:

Threads: 75,007, Posts: 948,157, Members: 4,710, Active Members: 679

Active members are people who have logged in in the last month, that's what we're at after four days.

Yes, it's not possible to bring them over with the import system, as the threadids are completely different.

I could give you a list of the threads you were subscribed to if you can't remember them all? Just PM me.

Maybe if people just put the location in the sub heading? That way we could ctrl-f. Of course it would only work if everyone did it
