What iv found out so far is. You can pick up a convention kit for $200USD that includes everything you need excluding Cambelt and tune. Cambelt just needs to be a b18c or b16b one and for tune you can just use VAFC with good resualts. Stock b16a cams work fine if you dont mill the head but then you only have 9.6CR but it still puts out the same power as a b18c with more tq.
To build it better you will need to make the valve pockets bigger on the pistons, mill the head (cant remember how much) and throw in some decent cams.
The rest you will be able to find on google easily. But this is just another option that shouldnt cost more then $1200.
Also what iv heard is that h22a's get quite expensive to stick in DAs because the engine bay is 1mm to small so you need to bend out some bits with a crow bar to make it fit. So I vote stick with b series to keep it simple |
