Fastline Performance Extended Shifter - EG / DA / DC / EF In stock soon!

Morning ya'all! Another hot product offering for you - I've been talking with Marcus @ Fastline to organise some solid extended shifters for the team down here in NZ.

Fitment - waiting for Marcus to confirm JDM fitment but I would imagine you guys and gals here would know more than them so if you are not bothered put your name down anyway.

The price - they are $299 delivered each! At this price we are looking for 10 buyers. It would go up a little for only 5-9 buyers - perhaps $319 - still working that out. They fit Honda thread pattern knobs no problem and if you want a weighted, lightweight, countersunk or seriously cool limited Edition knob (i.e. Blox!) then let me know!

A large write up of the pros and cons can be found on their web site - some of the prons and cons may not really be relevant to you.

A video in use is here:

    Re: Fastline Performance Extended Shifter

from what ive read these are a great product for the track, less reaching down low for the stick leaving your hand closer to the steering wheel.

id be keen mac if you could do one on laybuy for us, funds got drained abit over xmas.

Pm's replied =] Price relies on 10 of us going in, I am sure I can sell 2 if we get to - say - 8 - to complete the order so by all means note your interest. Once we get the numbers up we can kick off the laybuy!

Just like most normal short shifters as you are most likely aware.
Would be so it doesnt have huge throw with it being so long.

    I'm aware yes..

Asking how long it is as the 3" exhaust was made to sit high and it's already tight with a B&M shifter it has now which I don't recall being as long as this one.

    Re: Fastline Performance Extended Shifter

    Obvious reply from Fastline:

It is a touch longer than other short shifters. Some people do have exhaust contact but it should be easy to remidy. This is pretty common but everyone who fixes the contact is extremely happy!

Christ Americans are useless aren't they?

They make the bastard, how hard is it to get a mm figure!

Looks more than it is, longer by the mount height, can't be more than an inch.

I'll get under it today, see how much room there is and get back to ya Mac

    Re: Fastline Performance Extended Shifter

    For me? Don't buy.

My car/exhaust is a bit of an odd ball thing will be fine for everyone else I'm sure.

Exhaust can't move, the rear of it has been spaced already to clear the rear brake line entry and the rest has been lifted up close to the chassis for ground clearance but still collects the flexi on everything. There's only one flexi which is a shorty and the only brace I could "adjust" is forward of that (block mounted) anyway..

Hopefully there's some space, my metric threaded S2 gear knob doesn't like my Imperial threaded shifter

Hah wow look at all those words!

Nudge - need a couple more before we can kick this off! Laybuy is as always the same - 20% non refundable deposit, pay the rest off when you like. No fees, no interest!

We're likely to bring over 5 of these to begin with for those who have put their name down. We're hustling like mad to get a better price for only 5, the discount we were given was good, and good for 10. Will let ya'all know tomorrow!

    Re: Fastline Performance Extended Shifter

Right some disappointing news for everyone - we have to cancel this order. No one has paid (which isn't the issue) so I hope you understand our stance - we were initially given a good percentage off to make it work, with only 5 orders the percent dropped, and at $299 we make a whopping $10 profit. Actually, once bank fees are added, we make a loss.

We can't do that, we're haggling our best to get them to go halves on the discount rate first offered vs the discount rate offered now to make it possible.

    =[

So sorry. I don't think they will budge on their discount. For the record, the difference between what was initially negotiated and what is offered now is 10% - or $30. That'd be 'tidy' to make if we could get them to stick at it

    Re: Fastline Performance Extended Shifter

Just the one above about not being able to do it economically because of the offered lesser discount rate for just 5 shifters. The lesser discount rate means it's not possible to continue to bring them in, or take the risk (we'd be out $1500) to stock up at the level they need us to buy at, to get the better discount rate.
