    Wastegate's

    Hay guys

    Need help from people in the know.

    Ive got a racepro 38mm external wastegate and i need to know if theres ment to be a
    washer of some sort to seal the lower mount (the red circle).

    And if there is where can i get one from and what are they made out of
    i would have thought copper or firber washer's wouldnt stand up to the heat?

    I would say you may have more progress, emailing the manufacturer?. Its probably not too common for most to be dismantling wastegates.

    i have one on my car. could not see any washer with it assembled.
    test it with a compressor.
    get an air gun blow 20psi into it
    spray some soapy water onto it see if u get bubbles,
    u will have a small leak, this will be fine. but not from that area.
    most of these gates will leak down the valve shaft a small amount.
    just look for a big air leak on that point where their is no seal

    Thats kool man^ ive done that already and it was leaking abit.
