yeah, they have been resized down to 800*600 so the majority of teh pic quality has been lost

yea SLOTEG is dead on with the observation, if your using photoshop, use the image resize with bicubic sharpen, some focus issues with the 2nd-5th shots

umm honestly.. some quality in the photos is missing But the places and ideas that you have seem really good. i really like the motor bike one and the reflection on the water...

maybe the third and forth need to work on the white balance.

what i do is sometimes do a bracketing shot for the white balance too... this way you can choose afterwards what you want.

Also if yiou cam cabnt do it just take a pic then just change the white balance then take another one.. then you got two images tyo compare right there and then and see which one seems better then you know which kind of direction to go on the white balance/exposure...

also do you have the option to shoot in .NEF files? (RAW) if so do that...

cool thanks, some interesting points re: white balance, ill have a play with that tonite, currently its saving the files as 39XX * 29XX resolution (jpeg), i do have the option of saving as a RAW file so i will give that ago.

now that you mention in the highway pic is out of focus alot, not to sure exactly where i was focusing on that one, was taken on the move (as were pics 3,4,5)

All the photos were taken on ISO 100 and auto white balance, moving shots were on shutter priority however the rest were on appeture priority

Currently using Irfan (sp) view to re-size images but i will dust of CS3 and use that instead

well... start your own thread and then we can share photos... post up anything.... try shooting in AP f11... that brings things out sharper. Also if you can shoot in highest bit ie if it's 12 bit on your camera do that, personally i shoot in 14 bit.... much much much more information in 14 bit....

shoot in the highest qualityyou can, then resize/convert. then keep in a new shooting bank another setting at which you can shoot fast as 12bit raw is a really big file and slows the camera down...

One bit of advise that I could give, is to really plan out your shot. Dont just look and then a quick snap. Stop for a few secs and think what looks good.

and a half decent tripod isnt much these days
