another thing is that the d16 runs more timing than the d15b, (apart from idle)

the ecu you currently have is extremely simple to convert to manual, about a 10 minute job.

that just depends if the auto and manual maps are different, timing, fuel for autobox load etc.

Not much of an update but thought id share. I resigned from my job that I had been at for the last 7.5 years so lost the company van and needed to get the EJ on the road.
Been busy doing the boring shit, rego, warrant, insurance, wheel alignment and getting a decent alarm installed in it next week.
As this is my daily driver for the moment things have changed a little bit. If the new job goes well being self employed, the plan is to buy another car so I can take this one back off the road.

At the moment im looking for this: EG VTI Gauge cluster

Well, not a lot has happened really, besides from driving it daily now. Quite nice considering I have owned it for a year & half now and only just started driving it frequently.
The only thing that is bugging me is still being Hondamatic! So I have pieced together everything I need to do the swap bar the gear box.

Parts just purchased: Flywheel pressure plate, clutch, flywheel cover plate, front manual trans gear box bracket, manual starter motor, reverse light connectors, EK9 throttle cable, 2ltrs gear box oil, magnetic plugs, Spoon socks.

Heres a pic of everything I have so far


Cos im swapping the pedals to DC pedals I can now run an EK9 cable


Had trouble finding a guage cluster that suited my conditions so purchased one from John (Nyemetz1) who then kindly modified my one using parts from his one, so now I dont have the auto strip and the SRS hole/light


Also failed my warrant on the right front gear box mount so swapped it with a NZDM mount as Ive removed my AC already

Took the car to Car Folie and got the tints done a couple of weeks ago. Gave it a wash and wax then took it out for some photos.









Also picked up a manual ECU. I plan to keep the auto one for when I go turbo so I can send it away but still drive the car.



Rang up Strong this week to buy an S20 LSD gearbox I knew they had there only to find out it was sold the week before
Im planning on doing my auto to manual over the Christmas break so I hope I find one before then otherwise I will just get a non LSD for the mean time.

So if anyone has got one that wants to part with it, flick me a PM

On a brighter note, went out this morning to Maramarua Forest for my Rally Drive Experience my better half bought me as a present.
I got to drive an Evo 3 flat out around the forest for 3 laps with an instructor. Its the most exhilerating thing ive ever done on 4 wheels!
Topped off by a Hot Lap by a professional driver in an Evo 6. Bad ass

I decided to spend a bit of time and attention to the bay considering the rest of the car is coming along nicely.
Purchased a few dress up bits and pieces and below are the pics of some of them. I spent a few days in the garage detailing, tucking/hiding etc





I decided to swap my cam cover for an EK one as they look better imo. I stripped it and painted it VHT crinkle black



I hit my auto to manual mount with it too, to give it a more OEM look, rather than polished



My brother (EVILEK) gave me an ITR strut brace for my b-day
I pulled it apart and gave it a clean and a paint

Looks good!! Puts my coupe to shame, IMO I would put the exhaust manifold heat shield back on though

Take to that heat shield with a wire wheel man and shine it up nice it'll look sweet. and I've always thought the more stealthy black intake piping looked sweet so it'd look mint imo if you painted that intake arm
