Awesome, What mounts are you planning on using? If your going plain h22a I vote innovative, great fitment and you drill off the gearbox side mount so for you having an auto chassis makes no difference. If you use the cheap yonaka mounts your going to have to removed your auto chassis bracket and get a manual one welded on. Same situation if you go h2b aswell.
If you have any questions about putting in an h22a chuck me a pm and im sure ill be able to answer it for you. I have done an h22a into eg, f20b into an eg and h2b into eg so I know most things.

Think will look at using the innovative mounts at this point.
Im sure i will have heaps of questions so will hit you up. You running H2B in your EG now ah?

Yup h2b now, Best swap you can do imho. Its worth saving the extra bucks and doing it once and doing it right. I found h2b easier than a b swap I know thats strange but once you have made your loom and ground the back of the block its just as easy to bolt it all in and I found the angle the motor sits on makes it super easy to get to all the bolts you need to tighten.

The loom is the bit that confuses me the most. When you say "make the loom" where do you start/what do you add etc? Is there a conversion harness for a D to H series or ?????

I just start with a b series obd1 loom see what plugs reach and just extend the ones that dont. Takes me about 2 hours chilling out in the lounge watching tv and smoking out the house with solder fumes.

Got some time on the weekend to dig through the garage and I've got quite a few bits and pieces left over from my previous cars which are all slowly but surely finding their way onto this one.

Sony Xplode head unit & 4 x 6.5" speakers (sub and amp to follow)
This car will stay with full street trim, unlike the EG.







My plans are to keep this car on the road while I get it all ready for the motor so I thought I might as well give it a quick service. (the only things I actually bought in this update were the fuel filter/plugs & wipers)

Decided to shout the paint job an 18th birthday and got a professional cut and polish done.
Was really pleased with how it turned out



Had an old intake lying around so decided to throw it on for a laugh (I am quite impressed with the D16A motor to be honest)



My CM2 just hit 100k so did a massive overhaul and serviced absolutely everything and also chucked in a Simota panel filter and 8 point earthing kit.



Also the rotor's are warped, same thing happened to my Euro R
Went OEM pads and Brembo blanks

Cant remember exactly, used to work for Partmaster so still get staff price and brother works for Strongs so got Pads throw him at trade

Never had any problem with 282mm rotors but the 300mm seem to always warp

Back from the dead...

I decided to take a year off cars to focus on other things but after a year im back and rearing to go!
With time to reflect and think about what I want from this car, im not 100% on where im gonna go motor wise any more.
The plan is for now to get the car itself up to standard and the first stop is wheels, tyres, suspension, brakes, aesthetics....

Dug out my old Wedssport TC05's that were from my old EG. I took them off the EG as a couple of them had slight buckles from potholes so first stop was off to Arrow Wheels for Lance to work his magic.

Before:



Bought some transfers/stickers on Ebay and some Blox nuts off Mac.



Once the wheels were straight, took them to my buddy Stu who sandblasted them back, fixed up the smaller imperfections/curbage and sprayed them for me. Went the extra mile and did them justice by having the insides sprayed aswell. They came back looking brand new



After putting the stickers on (not recommended when hungover ) and what it would look like with the nuts - the finished product, ish.
Tyres and suspension to follow, most probably T1R's. Gotta get saving my pingas.



In other news, bought an el-cheapo sub and amp on special to finish off the sound system to something listenable!

Purchased some suspension the other day off Justin (evlone)
They are Dobi Superlow sports springs on EG shocks.

I was planning on putting them in but I took for granted that the EJ1 had the eye type LCA's not the fork type.
The plan was always to do a drum to disc conversion anyway so will have to do that first before installing the suspension.
(If anyone has got a cheap 4x100 conversion kit lying around, flick me a pm)



I saw this on another forum so I thought i'd give it a crack - spraying my clear corner lights to amber
They came out really good, well, not bad for $10!





As a side note, I have removed all the air conditioning components aside from the bits under the dash.

Wow, those wheels look awesome! There aren't many sets of those around either. The only other set I know of is down in Masterton on my old car, and I have seen another set up here.
