hay guys im new to this forum but ive got a 89 da6 teggy thats known around chch but sick of the ugly thing so ive decided to buy a ef3 si civic and convert everything i can from my teg into the civic b16a box exhaust front and rear suspension and anything else i can if someone that has done this conversion and knows what trouble i will have along the way please please tell me some advise ill post pics as i get through this build
From the pic it looks injected and that will make it very easy.
Just need mount kit from some one like haspot or imnovate.
You can reuse the ef3 loom if you run extra wire for vtec but personally id just throw the da6 one in.
I would also swap the dash cluster over but you dont need to just looks better when your rev range is high.
unsure if you need to swap hubs.
Im only going off the research I did from when I was going to do ef3 vtec but I just got another DA6 as a project.
What I was planning on doing with the hubs were prelude vtec ones with DA6 axels.
That apparently works.
Good luck, I look forword to seeing how it turns out and filling in gaps in my knowledge.

pretty sure you can use da6 mounts aswell and pretty much your'll need to add a few wires for vtec
nah you will need converion mounts unless you cut the part that is welded to the chassis and reweld it into the correct location so much easier to get a mount kit.
personally i wouldnt use the da6 loom i tryed this in my b16a swap into my ef and ended up bining it and running the 4 extra wires needed for vtec on the ef3 loom (vtec pressure, vtec solenoid, knock sensor and 2nd 02 sensor)

got both teg and civic engine out yesterday changed all teg suspention into the civic 1 question tho will the teg exhust fit in the civic as i dont want to get one made up if i dont have to teg exhust cost me $500 and i dont have much of a budget with having kids and all what wire do i have to wire up for the vtec off the ecu??? and yip i also on superhonda but havnt got any replys from there
exhuast will fit but may need to be shortened, heres a diagram for the wiring oh and dont worry if your wires arnt the same colour as the ones in the pic as long as they go to the right pin

so everythink of a da6 fits on a ef??

so far all i have put into the ef from the da6 is rear disks and sway arms etc but not the struts as da6 are longer than ef3 thanks nocert i needed that diagram
mounts are different like ive been told need to make rear mount shorter and ive decided to use a ek4 civic gearbox but insted of runnig hydro clucth im gana run cable will get bracket made up and the 3 gearbox mounts will post pics up when i get mounts and brackets made

update
right striped out dash heater boxes to get to all the wires. dismantled and cleaned b16a n just cleaned box. Cut front mount bracket off front arm haven't decided weather to cut drivers side mount off chassie rail or to make gearbox mount to fit. i have engine and box in the ef now with only engine mount and trolley jack holding her in place minus inlet manifold am using ek4 radiator need make holding mounts for that and have decided to turbo my b16a as i allready have a brand new T04E. Waiting on evlcvic whos waiting on me for a b16a t3/t4 manifold have pics and will post them up when find cable to run camera to pc but have this pic already
new pics engine in havnt done mounts yet

what are your plans for the DA shell once you've finished with it?
da shell is already been sold. but i can get it back pm me a price.
big big change of plans!!! i brought this today for $250 and its a ef7 si just got blown gearbox reg and wof not long ago ran out. so what i have decided to do is..
1. dereg said crx.
2. use crx to get civic back on the road i.e engine front cross member from crx into civic.
3. convert crx to b16a and turbo it.
4. upgrade brakes suspension fuel lines add surge tank etc.
5. roll cage it.
6. paint it i have a idea of what i want.
7. custom made dash.
8. remove glass and add plastic instead.
so im gona be busy for the next couple of days will post pics up as i get along.

because then i dont have to worry about cert etc and i dont have to worry about keeping up with rego and wofs on 3 hondas lol.

nope here in chch' but looks like someone from the army owned it lol. i got it off my flatmate. the hole inside of the car is striped just 2 seats and dash cluster
