Re: Spooner's DC2R build more Spoon

Picked up a spoon rear lower tie bar thanks to Mike (demon). Have not fitted it yet as have other plans for it at this stage will let on when I am a bit closer to that little side projects completion.
Also the missus got me some 20mm spacers for xmas went to fit them but were a no go. The hub centric rim was fine but the ring on the outside to center the wheel was too big for my 17's by about 1mm and was way too big for the factory wheels. The company that sold them had nothing else that would fit so had a work mate machine a little out of them is still plenty of meat on there so will be fine.
pics before and after. Befor shots are with 215/40's and the after shot is with the tires I will be running 205/40/17 r888's car will be going lower when I get the new suspension may have to trim down part of the rear bumper but that looks like it is the only bit it may foul on.

    and after

Have you whipped a shock out and moved the wheel up and down to see where it fouls Lee? Could be an idea as you might get away with not having to trim the bumper so much?

No have not tried that yet will give it a go. Will be able to dial in a bit more camber as well if needed but dont think I will need to though.

Re: Spooner's DC2R build more Spoon

Right so it has been pretty quiet for a while now on the car front so much other stuff going on but am slowly getting back into it which is good.
Have got a few goodies lately but due to me and the car being at a temporary address for a while ie my mothers house I can not really do a whole lot as I dont want to pull it apart anymore etc as am only moving again soon anyway.
Have finally taken ownership of my Recaro fixed back seat and got some racepro seat brackets and a super low seat rail for it also.
Managed to get a good price for some skunk2 pro series cam gears also and some momo foot pedals with the extra foot rest as well.

    and some pics
The passengers seat is not on rails at all at the moment so that is why it looks so low.

Hey man whats up has been awhile. Things are going good pretty crazy lately our place got pretty stuffed in the quake so had to move into my mums place and sort all that crap out plus get married in the middle of it. Still dealing with landlord who is taking us to the tribunal for moving out of our house that twisted off its foundations and chimny fell through part of the roof and none of the doors open or close and there was no water or sewage. But according to property manager there was no problem at all
    How things with you man.

Right time for a bit of an update has been a while coming but due to weedings and earthquakes and have to store the car at my mum's garage nothing has been happening for a long time now so hopefully that will change in the coming months.
Parts I have picked up fairly recently are flush mount lockable bonnet pins. Password jdm shiffter boot and 4 point rear strut brace.
Also got a aem fuel rail and fuel pressure reg.
Got the momo pedal set all mounted up too
