    thanks DVS

couldnt router today coz flatmate sleeping and the router makes abit of noise

So i thought id try abit of the wiring and struck a problem straight away:

Im removing ABS, this is the headlight harness on the passenger side.
So I remove the underhood-ABS fuse box which has fuses and relays for pump and motor. I trim all the wires off from it going to the main harness connector. This is the bit im unsure about, The grey connector had a thick white cable going to ABS fusebox so I cut it, and its got a WHT/BLK cable to what seems to be the front or rear window washer motor. The other window washer , the wire goes to the main connector so this means why is there an extra connector just for the other washer motor? shouldnt it goto the main harness connector? or is there fuses in that box i need to retain somehow.

Im thinking if hayce knows why [/img]

well I'll keep that wire with the grey plug because it does go inside the cabin somewhere

I so far have snipped the abs and ac fan wires out of the headlight harness and then just abs out of the cabin harness.. heres all the abs shit to go.

Im struggling to remember but I'm almost certain I had the same plug but I think it was for a horn or fan, plugs look pretty much the same.

If it's only powering up a washer bottle from your abs fuse box (I get that right?) it'll just be raping power and earth from a common system. You have two washer bottles in your car?

One word of advice though, if you are gonna chop any plugs make sure you leave plenty of wire hanging out the ass of the plug so you can resolder if you have to, looks like you axed the white wire up against the plug?

yea, I should have left alittle bit of wire but I was confident I was cutting the right wires hehe

Theres only one window washer bottle, but two motors - one for the front and one for the rear. The thick white wire was def. abs power.. its just so weird as to why the hell the window washer is tied into it.. really dont understand why they just didnt use the main connector.

Ah yea I know the plug now, was confused thinking you had a couple bottles or something. I also had an extra plug but had spare space in the main headlight harness so I binned the plug altogether and ran the wires through the one main plug = one plug, one wire "harness"

alittle more done, doesnt look like much but here:

I used my jig and made the arc shape thingies out of 1/4" MDF , rounded the corners and gave it a 1/4" round over.

I also rabbited the big ellipse on the outside so I can staple material to it and on the inside I used a 1/2" round over.

Just awaiting perspex, honeycomb mesh and brushed steel film. Once that comes I can go hard on the armrest and start to cut the orginal door and start fiberglassing.

b16a2 should be popping by tomorrow to weld some holes up too

luke came around today, spent a few hours welding the 100's of holes.

Rad support and both sides done, think i might need a few more holes welded.. just need to cut out some templates onto sheet metal and then we can start on the firewall . I'll be spending countless hours with grinder in hand.

    heres some pics:

Yup that wire next to the thick white black wire is either one of the washer motor's or the horn, same in the orthia, but I cant remember.

Good to finally put username and car together, I used to see you parked opposite my old lady's drive quite often some year's back

Nice build thread by the way!

    I got some sleeves today.

Opened up the box to find surface rust because they werent kept in the oily paper well and there is a slight chip on one of them. Is this going to cause any issues?

should be allright, that is only a tiny little bit of the surface area... you could get the block o-ringed just to be sure...
EDIT: put some oil on the sleeves now too to stop and further rust!
