Just got back from the car, I went to explain a bung I wanted threaded that I forgot to mention and suck me side ways, he's done:

• Modded mani for V band wastegate, fitted up looks perfect
• Made a down pipe with gate plumb back. Looks perfect too although its painted heat resistant black, might whip that off, might not.
• Made new mounts on the floor for the seats. Drivers seat in.

Just passengers seat and BOV install to go, expects to be done tomorrow! I forgot how quickly things can go.

Sadly though I think I'm going to have to leave the exhaust for another day. I've not had an exhaust made for years but I thought a 3" mild steel exhaust for $1000 was a bit steep?
Already has the muffler and resonator just needs a flexi and pipe...

damn $1000 for 3" mandrel bent is a kick in the teeth

i did mine on the k, all for about $150, 2bends the included 2 resonators and a meter of straight pipe

so its not that much parts, and surely not much labour!

he quoted me $800 for a header back in the EF, wanted a straight undertank, and I was supplying the reso, muffler, flange and flexi as well... 2.25 mild,

Ah great so it's not just me. The last exhaust I got made was way back in what 2000? Cost $337 and I supplied nothing.

Yea work looks good. He's made new "feet" on the floor pan to mount the seat rails to. I thought he'd just mod the rails so I was pretty suprised/impressed that he had done that.

Down pipe and dump for wastegate look the business. They are painted black though but what I can see look all good.
Couldn't see much of the v band mod on the mani. I couldn't get down on the ground in work gears etc but looks good.
Not much room for a 44mm under there though pretty damn tight.

I've got some brakes to order hopefully this week which is great and all but it could be a royal cock up as far as wheels go. Unsure of the clearances etc needed guess I'll figure out when they arrive and I get them on.
I just don't want to order wheels and have them not fit...

The brakes fitting isn't the problem, its getting wheels to clear the calipers that is. Pretty much kiss good bye the low offset trend, welcome to the +40's at least

I wouldn't have thought offset would matter 'cause thats only the rim in relation to mounting point. It would be more spoke design and rim diameter that would affect it wouldn't it?
