I like that metallic/olive green color, will look good on a sedan + light colored wheels will make it look broader.

Yeah dont look too bad on the hatch...

Anyway theres that green turbo sedan up in whangarei thats pretty much that poopey green colour.

    Another pansey update:
Painter (Grant) came round and scoped out the bay and pretty much told me off

I had opted to leave some holes mainly due to the fact that I was over it and had had enough and wanted some progress...

Grant is new to the "project" and therefore full-o-beans and has pretty much told me "fuck that, you fill one, you fill them ALL". So hes going to spend a bit more time this weekend and do some more welding mainly in the areas where the strut bits meet the rails.

Grant is also confident he can bring the chocolate-y goodness. Im a pessimest so I hope he can. Planning on spraying both gaurds for test panels I think.

Lastley one of the gaurds has been lipped/rolled/flared out. We test fitted it last night and they dont seem too bad (well they were raw and beaten so they looked like shit but it *will* look ok).
They are noticeably wider but join up to the bumper fine. I think any more pulled out and they would look pretty shit.

Ill get some pics on the weekend  Ill be removing doors and boot etc then.

Go the Olive green Hatch!

But seriously, I do really like that chocolate colour just as much.

Hayce, Definitely post up some pics of your guards if you can, interested to see how this was done, what it looks like etc! Any idea of rough cost?

hmm mines kinda an all in one deal you know I give him a sum and he does it.

I can ask for you if you like.

I had already had the inside lip of the gaurds rolled but now they have flared them a bit. Its not a helluva lot. They have kinda just extended the flat edge of the gaurd out so its not flat it continues with the slope of the gaurd, you copy?

Yeah fair enough, it's not like you're only getting a couple of bits and pieces done... you're going all out! 8O

Cheers man but I'll try get a couple of quotes up here in Auckland, shouldn't be too much. I'm keen to just get the whole inner lip cut out completely, but I know what you mean and how you've done it, should look primo when it's all painted up!

touch wood aye other wise its some new gaurds from mr honda

I wouldnt reccomend cutting that lip away completly as it weakens the gaurd a shit ton. Ive done it on other cars and its not a good idea. You can "mush" that lip up so its very thin but it still give the gaurd shape and strength.

Ive given up trying to spell today, its just not happening

Ouch... I can only imagine what brand spanking new gurads from Mr Honda would set you back.... not keen! 8O

That's a good point aye, I did actually think about that! Maybe just getting them "rolled" and as you say "mushed" up into the inner guard part would be the better way to go!

Dude I'm jack'n your thread hard! I'll lay off now......

Looked *way* better when i had it

That olive drab looks pretty cool but i agree with where the hiz-nizzle was going in that it may look a bit much on a sedan ... confusious say don't overlook more 'standard' colours also, the last thing you want is something thats shit hot for 5 minutes then gay for a lifetime.

What you want to do is paint it up like a Brock SS VK commie, and of course get the wheels !! Errr too many lindauer frais'z in the sun i think ... its a tough call, a really well done deep silver with charcoal / bronze rims would be shotty au or maybe a crushed velvet deep purple / cranberry white rim thing ? ... SHIT I DUNNO #@$%@#$*&, just nothing that screams 'i just painted my car so i went with this cause its way not standard and da chx luv it and im 12'
