^ oh did it what son!

Since the painter has headed off to Aussie for the week with all my money I decided to get stuck in to the cabin loom. I had a peak around it and it just looked way to boogie for me. Especially around the bright green plug on the left hand side kick panel that ties in with the ecu (EK owners will get it I hope).

So I took Monday off sick (really was though) and went down to teh Honda wrecker. I clambered around the inside of a wrecked EK VTI which was perched on the roof of a DC integra for about 2 hours. All I did was remove the dash and all the heater equipement and then remove the cabin loom. The latter took a while because I wanted to keep all the clips in one piece so I didnt just cut everything.

Now I need to find a b16a loom from an EK civic for the motor... Apparently much easier said than done.
The previous set up in the car had the b18c enigne loom coming into the cabin with a cutsom conversion harness for the obd2a ecu. But also they had butchered the fuck out of the green plug that the b18c engine loom didnt have in order to make everything work. If I cant get my hands on the b16a loom from an EK Ill look at converting the plug over. Theres a shit tone of wires there but looking at the old version theres actually very few that were retained so heh we'll see.

    So some pictures then.

Here she blows!!!!! the new loom I raped and pilleged (sp?) from the wreck:

My car striped of, well everything I guess. Dirty as fuck too from sitting in the shop:

    Scrubed it clean first:

May look a mess to some but it looks beautiful to me:

Notice the non AC center bit in the heater box arrangement? I got that from the wreck too:

    My partner in crime :

My garage floor, got wires then?

J's nuts turned up (thanks Mac)

An finally a random shot of how much the paint changes with sun, I even have shirt on lol:

^ no sweat man. Yea if you remove the heater box you will have to do something with the coolant lines from the engine: block or loop. Unless theres a reason not to I'd block em.

The A/C has been gone well before I got the car. I only got the non ac box as it was there and free, I also took off with all the bolts/nuts I removed from the dash lol I figured I'd earned them

Started on the headlights and wiper motor "harness's" last night... light went so I only really got a plan figured, cut the wires and run them through. Ill be finishing them tonight weather permitting.

Best thing I ever did was replace that loom, now I can mod all the wires with the matching colour runs and re use all the stock conduit shit where needed.
