    You win the prize
Yep filled the headlight holes but didnt stop there... even filled the holes that mounts the bumper.
I didnt notice till last weekend (those holes have been filled for about 2-3 months!) until I finished the wiring and fitted the bumper to make sure it was all good... hung the bumper and went "you fucking retard" and gave myself a proper donkey punch.

The painter is attacking the engine bay and the rest of the car sometime this week. Ill help but I wont be going at it alone.

Did you use just bog? or something more exotic like kitty hair?

  4. #29
newtec and bog only thing you can do really after you have welded holes up and grinded back unless you wanna use flat sheets of metal which wouldnt be easy

haha did you weld up the side bumper things that you mount gaurd to ?

nah not those ones. Pop your bonnet and look between your headlights where the bumper mounts to the top of the rad support. Theres about 5 holes that plastic clips push into, I welded all those up ops: so the only thing to hold the bumper on is the corners where it bolts to the gaurds. Will have to get my drill out

    Cool build thread Hayce.

I like how you've gone into a detail with pics of all the nitty gritty stuff, makes things interesting.

I was thinking of delooming my engine bay and perhaps just filling in a few of the holes/indents (mainly around the strut towers, radiator support area etc) but after seeing the shit you've had to wade through I think I'll have to re-evaluate my decision, hehe. Ofcourse I wont be doing it to the extent that you did (aweome job btw, it'll look ace when finished I'm sure), even still, it could turn out to be more than I myself can handle.

Loving the Edelbrock TB and inlet manifold, looks bling as with the AEM fuel rail IMO. 8)

Very nice EK sedan to say the least, turbo vtax for the win !
Keep up the good work.

Damn Lance, looking real good. The engine bay should look a treat when it's all painted and done. So should everything else.

Had a close look at the work done on the weekend, and mad props to ya Lance!
Also hat comes off to the bro in law (the mad welding scientist), have had a few drinks with this lad and he is a laff a minute!

Im gonna go with Jimmy Lust on the flocking idea, gotta love the WRC style dash, and also the fact it isnt that common.

I really lucked out with the help to be honest!. Only problem is that we would get on the chop and nothing would happen, hence the months its taken to date

I actually very nearly got hold of you to see if you'd be interested in doing it but Phil came through & its along way from Hamilton.
Thanks for the info many moons ago too, if you recall I pm'd you ages ago and you were very helpful

Right people hit me with some colour choices/ideas!

The car was going to be dark chocolate brown with a nice gold pearl but bloody vinnas bet me to it and on an EK sedan ffs I may still do this colour though just waiting to see some good pics of his (or is that her?) car to see if its too close to what I had in mind.

Other ideas was the carbon grey mettalic as found on the 06 mazda 6. In the sunlight this colour it tits! Nice charcoal with a gold pearl/hue/tinge. The problem is out of the sun its like an old tit, still nice just not 20 year old nice ka-peech?

The only pic I have of the choc brown I was heading for in my photobucket atm is this:

    {dc white wheels)

I have a heap more but theyre at home. Its the plusONE car from HT. If that helps you or you know what I mean you are bloody sad

    edit:

This coupled with work bronze or flat black advan rgs?

I'm really starting to like EK Sedans. Problem is they are mainly non-vtak.
