IMHO the color on the bumper looks better than the color on the guard, not too lite, yet subtle. be nice with a bit more gold in it tho.

now that tan EK looks freakin hot, but i just dont think your car can pull it off, its just too big, if ya get where im coming from at all

either way its up to you, but hey...
*Sigh* Australians have no idea how to modify a car. Damn I miss NZ cars!

  3. #253
well i reckon both colour's would look mean like the gaurd colour a little bit more thou

    Great minds

I also think the sedan is too big to pull off the tan.

Im going the bumper colour. I really really like both colours but my first glance at both I wnet straight for the darker one.

As per usual the pics dont reflect the "real" colours too good. The bronze/gold effect is a fair bit more noticeable than it shows in the pics.
Also the green colour is actually more of a silvery colour, it was no where near any greens in the decks, wierd.
It kinda looks a bit dull and stock looking next to the other colour... its still a bloody nice colour.

Pretty much sums up why I like the dark colour im not looking to stand out too much.

Out of those two parts i like the bumper better but when i think about what it would be like over a whole car i think the green would be better

I am with gotvtec on this one. I think over the whole car the green might look better.

But what ever keeps you happy, both will look good thats for sure

Im heading off to Rotorua/redwoods on Sunday. If youre down then youre more than welcome to have a look but theres nothing really to look at, the cars not with me. I may still have the gaurd and bumper though, Ill flick you my number anyway .

Gave the painter the nod to go ahead so the car should be getting jammed this week.
Thanks for the help/comments/suggestions with the paint fellas, I appreciate it

Oh and if youre in Auckland looking for a painter pm "gtref" his site: www.gtrefinishers.co.nz

I'm loving the bumper colour, for sure. The green looks almost too much. And the glitter/fleck in the bumper colour looks awesome.

the colour on bumper looks good bro. stick to that...

maybe find a nice lighter contrasting shade for the engine bay, so the engine work you have spent hours on can stand out!

The colours definitly the bumper colour (what ever colour that is lol) Ive paid for paint and clear and its getting jammed on saturday.

hybrid_H: you mean the engine or the bay?

The engine itself may have to hold fire for a bit as it looks like Ill be a home owner in the next two months.

The engine bay is bit of a PITA. The shops welder is very busy with work, life and other homers so hes dragging the ball. Hopefully made a deal where he can weld them whats left and Ill camp out over night and grind them down and linish them flat. I enjoyed it last time and if it keeps the car moving

As for the state of the car its currently rubbed down with the rear quarters in primer (had some panel beating). The windows are out and the ariels gone.
Ill have some pics of the car up today some time.
